Recommended Mobile Marketing Course?

Hi Warriors,

I'm looking to learn more about mobile marketing and would like some recommendations. I haven't really done much research on it yet. The only one I'm familiar with is from MobileMonopoly.com, and that's only in passing.

Also, if you have any success in integrating mobile marketing with online marketing, I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks,
Michelle

Its OK, but it leaves you feeling like something else is supposed to be in it. I think the future of marketing on phones will be in the free download apps. The more useful or fun the more its viral. Think about it.

    Nightengale,
MM is not fantastic but it's cheap and if you have less than a thumbnail understanding of mobile marketing it may be worth your money. I own it and, frankly, I'm more let down with the follow-on marketing than the product itself. (I think the guy wants to be the "F. Kern" of mobile...)
If you do buy it, do not buy beast mobi. He says it costs "$100 dude..." to get a mobile device optimized page created... WRONG. I had one made for less than $10.00, which I can alter to any further mobile optimized page I want. So, for $10.00 I have all the pages I need, I think Beast Mobi is like $60.00 a month or something ridiculous like that.
On the upside, he does do a good job of providing an elementary understanding of how mobile marketing works but after that it's up to you.
I'm developing a white paper for this industry and will provide a link to it on warrior forum when it is finished... look for it by the EOY.
As with all things IM related, you have to test and "testing" is just code word for "spend money."

And, "mobile marketing" is such a broad term, it's tough to help answer your question directly. Which medium or niche are you interested in?

    Hi Michelle,

I would suggest passing on Mobile Monopoly.

The Real Truth About Mobile Monopoly

The webinars at Offermobi are a good start (free) Webinars | Offermobi (thank you Barry Walls)

As IMShoppingMall mentions, mobile device optimized pages shouldn't cost that much ... you should be able to go to a site like fiverr and get something created relatively cheap.

Also, I'll have a mobile page generator soon enough at Mobile Squeeze Page

    Thanks.

    Dave

I have it, and as stated, it gives you the basics of MOBILE ADVERTISING, NOT MOBILE MARKETING, which is a completely different animal. Also if you research the real numbers you will see the mobile advertising is only about 1.7 billion people, NOT 5 billion and I have heard over 50% of the mobile ads are clicked on by mistake (the 50% I have not verified yet). The only ones getting rich in mobile advertising are the mobile ad networks and the ones promoting them. Also, if you want a good book written by a real mobile expert get Shaun Parsons "Text your way to profits" which you can find on Amazon.

I purchased items from him in Nov. 2010. When I still did not recieve it in Jan. 2011, I asked for my money back. he kept telling me its in the mail. By the end of Jan., I had a tracking number. this is after two months. He blames the fulfilment house. So basically your error, jsut refund the money. He tells me no. send it back. Well I cant't send it back because even thought there is a tracking number now, there is no package. Post office lost it for a few weeks. Finally get it end of Feb. I return it to sender. Now he is playing that I did not return it to him. It went back to the fulfillment house. he's a crook. and not a very good business. everythig he promotes has issues and long delays. Always has an excuse.
Now I see he is banned on this site. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Do you just want to learn about mobile advertising or how to build a mobile marketing business? (mobile sites, sms, offline integration). Mobile Monopoly is just advertising.
"Mobiblueprint" and " Mobile Business in a Box" are the best all around courses. Mobile web will be bigger than the internet boom was. Smart phones will be all there are in another year as prices drop. And Google's betting the farm on it's future.

Hi, I'm new to the forums. Anyway I have Mobile Monopoly and found that it provides the goods as far as getting the wheels to turn and exploring options in mobile advertising. I have more to say and a question but I will look around a bit more first.

I have used this company for many years: callfire.com for my clients. It offers free training and the service works on all platforms as well as the new systems coming out beyond just the simple SMS texting. There are millions and millions of others if you search google, though.
