First i have to say, that im total newby. I got my first site about 6 months ago but havent really have time to work with it. I have got few backlinks and i have to say that my site looks total scrap. Last night my site was nowhere to find. Today morning, using analytics, i saw a lot of traffic to my site. I typed in google one of my keywords and found out that my site was on first place in google. Not only that. All my articles are on first page.In googe.us the whole first page was my articles. All i did last night was,i downloaded some kind of pagerank checker tool and tested it with my sites. Can it be possible that this tool did it?

Was the sudden burst of traffic you saw all since last night or over a periods of the last few weeks/months? It is possible that you may have more back links than you think if you have been writing articles and possibly your site is ranking well if your keyword is not too competitive

It is unlikely that your pagerank checker caused this - if the tool could bring you that much traffic, that would be their main selling point! As others have said, be thankful for this random fluctuation and hope it continues!

When it comes to SEO, the work that you do today is usually rewarded months into the future.

I'm pretty sure the pagerank tool had nothing to do with boosting your rankings. If your site is properly optimized and has some backlinks pointing to it, then it should be at or near page 1 if the competition isn't too intense for the keyword you're trying to rank for.

Do you know if anyone sent traffic to your site recently? If not, then it's highly probably that the burst in traffic was due to your site landing on page one (which seems to coincide nicely with your articles suddenly ranking on Google too). This scenario is a little puzzling, but keep building backlinks to this site, monitor its position and keep your fingers crossed that it stays permanently on page one!
