I am redesigning my website Wrinkles Treatment Find The Best Skin Care Products & Anti Wrinkle Cream Online with Wrodpress and I have a question. I want to add articles on the website but I don't want them to appear on the left navigation bar; instead I want them to be on one single page ARTICLES.

It is easy to create ARTICLES page but how do I add a article on that page without a link on the left side bar.

Thanks

That depends on how your theme was made.

But one major flaw - your URLs. Don't ever ever ever use ?page_id=22 in URLs. Speak to your webmaster about that, or get one, or read more about WordPress.

Why not just create a "page" and add the articles on there..

Also you may want to install the all in one seo plugin for your urls

I think it's better to have individual page for each article then just one page for all articles but I am not sure. How do I get rid off page_id? I changed the settings in permalink and it worked for URLs but then all my sub pages would have home page at the bottom so I have to change the permalink back to default. Any suggestion how to fix that?

The left side bar is usually controlled with your 'widgets'. If your articles are actually pages, just remove the 'pages' widget. If your articles are actually posts, remove the 'recent posts' widget.

If your Wordpress theme is not using widgets, you will need to go into the sidebar.php file of your theme and edit/remove the needed coding.

I hope that helps, if you need more detailed or further information, let us know.

Go to your Wordpress Admin Panel > Options > Permalinks.
More info by googling "Wordpress Permalinks" and clicking on the codex dot wordpress dot org search result.

It would seem in laster versions the plugin may have some issues... Search wordpress for anothe SEO plugin ...

I just installed and it only partially worked, I would fix the coding but I am working on another project. Maybe you should also contact the plugin owner..

Change the 'Permalinks' in your WP admin panel.

    I like to use:
    /%post_id%/%postname%/

Also make sure you are using the latest version of Wordpress. When you create a page, the title of that page will become your permalink.

I ran across this a couple of months ago, here is the http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ce-please.html. I think that's what you are after. WordPress plugin: Flexi Pages Widget | Srini's WordPress Laboratory is the ticket. It's a plugin that allows you to specify what pages you want where, great plugin.

Also, there are some things you need to do to control displaying pages from the sidebar.

If you go to Settings - Reading. There is an option to set your home page as Static.

To exclude tabs from showing on top, you need to go into Design - Theme Editor and modify the main-menu.php file (at least for mine) and modify the following:

      <?php wp_list_pages('depth=1&title_li=&exclude=135, 14, 27, 691, 973, 967, 962, 1069'); ?>

This will exclude pages 135, 14, 27, etc.
