Linking to More Than One Site in Your Resource Box

Hello.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was better to just link to one site in your resource box for articles, or if it is better to link to three of my sites.

    I generally link to my homepage or whatever page on the site I am promoting, and to my blog - which points them back to all my pages
    I get more clicks to my website - an ecommerce site than to the blog.
    I am starting to see more going to the blog. It is rather new though.

      I wouldn't link to anymore than two sites in the resource box (affiliate site and blog). Just make sure the affiliate link actually has some relevance to the article.

          And if it's a anchor text, try to make sentences with those keywords.

    I usually link to more than 1 site. Actually I link to one of my sites and one of my other articles usually but that's kind of the same thing as more than 1 site.

    Anyway, I don't think 1 way is "better" than the other, it simply depends on which pages you want to get links to.

    You want to direct your user to take ONE course of action. The less choices, the better from my experience.

    Giving 2 links creates some confusion and mental clutter. Keep it as simple as possible.

      I suppose if your article is to promote an affiliate product one link is best. I feel that if you have a blog that promotes your site, that is good to link to also. Especially if they can get more good, similar content.
