brother is a physical therapy major... Would it be wise to create an ebook in muscle building?

Hey guys, had a quick question, my brother is just about to become a licensed physical therapist.. He has a lot of knowledge on the human body.

Do you guys think i can create a successful ebook if i asked him questions and made good workouts for people who wanted to lose weight or build muscle?

I know he can give very scientific answers.. Would that be helpful?

people don't want a scientific answer, they want the "easiest", Most people could care less how it works (scientifically) as long as it does.

You be better off make a ebook thats easy to understand and use your brothers credentials for credibility

I would advise you to make the website that sells that product first. Make sure you have a demand and can sell the product before spending the time making an ebook.

    1) Create the website with a paypal account
    2) Send Adwords traffic to it
    3) If the conversion rate creates a profit, then create the ebook. If not, come up with another idea to test.

Anyone that purchases the ebook during the test phase, just issue them a refund.

Look at where the direction body building is going and try to create a similar product. I would look into creating a video course showing the most effective ways to build muscle and add a meal plan and schedule for the users.

I know body building is big because I have a ton of friends who are obsessed with the gym.

It is better to have tried and failed, then to have failed and never tried at all.

Use the ebook/report as a front-end (free or paid, your choice) to showcase your brother's expertise and practice. In other words, use it as a professional lead generator.

I think that is an excellent idea! First, I would study many of the bodybuilding ebooks currently being offered. You and your brother should look for ways where your info is differentiated, however, very helpful in a way other body shaping ebooks do not have. There is a need for effective physical rehabilitation and if your brother has good advice or techniques that set him apart than go for it!

Better yet have him help you with creating the product, put his name on it as a PT provided you market it for him and split the profits 75/25 (75 for you, since you'll be doing more long term work and he just sits back and enjoys profits after the launch of the product).

Obviously the muscle building niche is hot. Make sure you build a list if you're going to be selling products. You could go ahead and start doing that now while you're working on the product, that way when you're ready to launch you're virtually guaranteed to start off makin' money.

      My 2 cents.

I can't say much. Just make sure the ebook works or you'll get a lot of refunds.

You seem to have gotten "physical therapist" confused with "personal trainer."

A physical therapist helps get a body which has been damaged back into working order.

A personal trainer helps get a body which is already in working order into performance condition.

Since both of them are commonly abbreviated PT, this is an easy mistake to make when you're hanging around in both kinds of communities.

My advice would be do some research on your target market first, and if you find there is a market, write a free report first as a giveaway to entice your readers to your list, and then make sure you have the ebook written and the site to sell it designed, and that way it can be your sales funnel.
