Anyone watching the live stream on Youtube Live?

Now that's what I call a website LAUNCH!

Very exciting stuff! I expect marketers to be taking advantage of this online media outlet for their online businesses...if you think you'll be using this media outlet, how will be using YTL to your advantage?

Plans, thoughts, ideas of how to leverage this new outlet, share it here!

    Yea, what a launch indeed... it even crashed the Google/YouTube SERVERS!!!

    This is what I get when trying to watch the live stream :

      same here. I watched the whole thing and only enjoyed a few performances.
      Jokes weren't funny, too forced and well - the hosts seemed to be there in order to fill in the "empty time" but they did a poor job.

      However, I am sure Youtube will learn a lot from it - this was the first time.

      I also agree that this was pretty big... Now EVERYONE will jump on youtube trying to become the next big thing... LOL!

    Darn it Ivan... I was working here... you just had to go and show me this...

    Really, this is pretty groundbreaking stuff... I'm thinking at this like... hmm could this be that last bit of straw that breaks the camel's back? Watch out tv... the internet's comin to git ya!!!

    Does anyone know if youtube is going to add this functionality to any user to stream live? There are other places you can stream already, but if YT lets everyone stream, that would be insanely cool.

    One marketing thing I noticed... the ad in the bottom right is quite spot on with the content, it was showing an ad for Guitar Hero while Joe Satriani was playing...

    I feel like I'm watching the superbowl, and seeing how companies are marketing...

    @Michael Ashbourne: Pretty bad content wise? How so...?

    @webdesignhq: I read somewhere everyone has the chance to sign up and have their own streaming channel, kind of like ustream and justin.tv

    @mrsleep99: I believe you'll be seeing products and websites in the near future of how to use live streaming to your marketing advantage. I've seen Jason Moffatt do it (shoutout to JMofo!) and a few other marketers use live streaming to their advantage...

    The quality is good in India too...

    But what I really want to know is how is it related to IM? What has it got to do with ther marketing business?

    Is it like ustream on Google servers?

    I bet this is the future of internet, check out diggnation, they are doing the same live stuff with different camera angles.

    Now that would be powerful!

    I still have to check it out further.

    I was going to use Ustream for my launch on December 3rd...

    Maybe I'll use YouTube now if it's Open Source?!?

      Even if it does, don't change plans now... Dec. 13 is not too far away and the last thing you would want is getting caught in not being able to do it properly because of a recent change in plan.

    @tomw: If you've been on other streaming sites, you can save and archive your video your stream.

    @lakshaybehl: Just imagine, using live video to sell your products...It's like being an online salesman on the internet.

    Instead of teleseminars, what if you introduced live video to your subscribers...

    Instead of recorded interviews, broadcast the interviews live and save it in your archives...

    The possibilities are endless with live video.
