Alexa Ranking... How soon should one expect it?

After you launch a site how long does it take Alexa to rank the site?

    They take daily readings. I would go over to alexa and claim your site and also install the alexa toolbar (if you are comfortable doing that) and visit your site daily.

    The Alexa ranking is really overrated for the most part. It has no effect on traffic going to your site at all.

    Alexa traffic is being faked ALL the time.
    That means it is easy to rank any site high on it.

    Do not wate your time on it!

    Alexa has to be seen only as a pure fun indicator and nothing else,the easy of it being manipulated is amazing,the main the you want to keep your eye on is the amount of visitors your site gets.If you work on your content and backlinks the revenue will start to come,Alexa means absolutly nothing but a visual fun indicator.

    I don't really care much for Alexa and I wasn't trying to get any ranking for it but today I was running diagnostics on my (less than a month old) site and I was just surprised that it had been ranked by Alexa... and I was just wondering if this happens to everyone.

    Another amazing thing (at least for me) is that google is crawling my site every other day. I mean, i'm working hard adding at least 2-3 (1000 - 1500 word) articles but i'm still pleasantly surprised because I haven't been doing any backlinking and no article marketing or paid advertising.

    This is all normal, expected stuff? right...
