Best membership scripts

Anyone have any idea what is the member membership script for organizing a boat load of content for paid members to access. I think there was one for wordpress but don't remember the name.

Thanks!

I've tried several and so far my favorite is Digital Access Pass.

Buy the Unlimited License and order the "Concierge" service. They'll install it and get it going for you and hand hold you through the process.

Pricewise it's on a par with the others, but the "Concierge" upgrade will have you up and running almost immediately.

After a year I was still having questions of Wishlist, never understood Fantasos after two years, aMember was good, but required modules for everything you wanted to add, etc., etc., excedrin.

I converted a Wishlist site to DAP and was pretty much restored in three days, rolling along in a week, and having ideas in two weeks.

I just installed s2member few days ago on my blog, it's free but definitely can compete with the paid ones. I wrote about it on my warrior blogpost.

I tried s2Member also, and it is good, but requires some coding in order to get things like "Drip" content working. I think it is probably for a simplistic model, which mine isn't.

However, I feel it is a VERY good alternative to almost all of the paid ones.

The only problem is that because the developers funnel model starts with their GPL product, their support is hit or miss unless you do invest in the upgrades, which brings your cost back up to the same range as the fully paid scripts.

I'm holding on to one site using wishlist purely because of how I structure the site. It works well and is reasonably easy to use.

My next site will be with Digital Access Pass. From a marketing perspective, DAP has it all over wishlist with it's one-click upsell and affiliate program manager.. which wishlist does not.

Ravi's customer service is also A1 for DAP.

hhmm looking pretty good so far still looking for a few more good options if they are out there. Im not really looking to drip the content just organize it into categories and subcategorizing. Because of that I figured wordpress would be best since it already somewhat has a feature like this.

If you plan on building a "business," then you're going to want the "professional" features of DAP.

I also forgot to mention that Wishlist does not have a built in method for "dripping" content. For that, you have to buy a third party plugin. Their built in method of "sequential" delivery is very, very, clunky.

Not really... you just have to create multiple membership levels and move members along the food chain. Then again, you're probably right.

Didn't know they had a sequential plug in available.

But what you say is correct about running a business.

At first it's easy to look at a simple solution. But when it comes to scaling it, then it becomes a nightmare, so you really should find a script that you can grow into, so to speak.

Those extra few $$ up front will save you a heap of time and money down the track. I learnt this the hard way.

If you don't want to drip, and keep it simple, then wishlist is great and easy to use. IMO.

You simply create a page for each category and then within each page, you add links to the sub cats.

I use Wishlist Member and think it's a great plugin for membership sites. I just add WP Drip as an additional plugin when I want to drip feed content.
