Warriors, I'm hoping you can help me out here.

I'm developing 150 website sand I'm looking for a theme which is very customizable which I can easily customize to create 150 different content websites.

I'm hoping to have the theme look like some of the following with the exception options to easily customize them.

Something similar to the allure theme but something more customizable:
Allure Theme by StudioPress

Thanks

On the free side, adding the 2010 Weaver child to the default wp 3.0 Twenty Ten theme provides extensive customization tabs and theme setting backup functions. It moves the css color settings and lot more into a form.

I would recommend the Thesis theme: Thesis Theme Blog

You have probably already seen it around a lot. It is very easily customized.

I definitely recommend Thesis theme hands down. It's really easy to customize, even for a beginner like I am.

Another good one for you is Headway Themes. It's like a drag and drop style of customization.

If you're going to be developing that much website then these would be the best choice.

    Good Luck with that!

I prefer Thesis because it's easy to customize and easy to use. Once it's set up, it's a breeze to tweak and update when needed.

Thanks the Thesis theme did look great but I was afraid it would be already overused. I read on some threads that if a google spam team reviews yoursite they largely base it off the theme. With the thesis theme so commonly used for minisites will it affect the creditability. Additionally I'm afraid of general user perception seeing similar theme too often.

Each of my site will contain 3-5 quality articles with 1 article added monthly so although it isn't anything blackhat or an spam site I don't want to take the risk.

      Thanks for the suggestions.

Thesis is good if you are decent with CSS. If you are looking to customize something right out of the box, then try Flexsqueeze.

As far as themes go for being overused and making it look like a spam site, do you think this is what happens with the 2010 theme, that somebody at Google will say, "Oh no, another 2010 theme site it must be a spam site".

Probably not. What about the defaults at Blogger, do you think using those themes makes you look spammy? Probably not. A beginner, maybe, but spammy?

The default thesis with those square buttons looks fairly dull, but not spammy, it just looks like a thesis site and thousands of blogs with really good rankings are built on thesis.

Atahualpa. Design the first site, then export the settings so you don't need to start from scratch for each site.

I like the koi theme. It's free and it's my best theme so far. It's customizable.

Like the others said, use Thesis. It's totally customizable and seo friendly. We use it on all our marketing blogs. It plays well with plugins too. Some themes are finicky about that.

Yep, me too. Tried them all. Even created my own. But Thesis is best I think. You have a standard way of working over lots of sites, but you can change things to make individual sites as unique as you wish.

Thanks everyone so I guess I should post my decision. I've decided to go with artisteer for now to create more customized and unique themes for quality and then later after the first few artisteer sites I'll go try allure theme which looks pretty good.

Artisteer is good for me because I want to get something going now instead of trying to learn how to customize wordpress themes so when I have something going then I'll spend some time figuring out wordpress technicalities.
