Review my Review Site Plz

So I saw some other similar posts, can you guy's evaluate my noob site....It's pretty similar, I haven't finished all the pages and categories yet but it's something. I had a huge setback realizing that with Amazon your referral rate doesn't go past %4 for electronics, so I kind of feel like all this work is for nothing. But I guess it's a good learning experience. So if there is anything you can see improvements on I would love the feedback for future sites.

Thanks,
Justin

I don't have enough posts and not looking for the backlink here, so here is the site

best headphones hq dot com .....not trying to go against the rule just want some feedback.

I would add following sections on your site:
    Privacy
    About Us
    Contact Us

The buy buttons could be made slightly bigger and if you could change the text on the buttons to something like "Buy today at special price at Amazon" or "Buy today at for $45 only today at Amazon"

You may want to play with the color scheme, red seems too dark for my taste.

Are you comparing different headphones? It not clear from the layout which one is the best. You could use comparison tables to achieve that.

Again I don't see any ratings? Star ratings?

Thanks for the tips, not sure about the star ratings and how to get them...I bought Reviewazon but after reading a lot about it, it seemed people's rankings just dropped off on a lot of their sites with review azon not sure if that really affected it but kind of sketched me out. How do you add stars? Just image files? but ya I was pretty much just going with the best headphones that I found and listing the top ones.

If you just want to add star ratings, you can look at this free plugin:

WordPress › GD Star Rating « WordPress Plugins

But if you are thinking of converting this to full fledged review site with all the bells and whistles, you may want to look at some premium wordpress review plugins.

I personally prefer MyReviewPlugin because it offers lot of the review features that you would like in a review site including star ratings with the option of choosing your own star images and even non-star images, comparison tables and custom categories (like in your case, you could have noise cancellation, comfortable to wear, price etc)

I haven't personally integrated MyReviewPlugin with an Amazon plugin but I don't see a reason why it couldn't be done.

You may want to check with MyReviewPlugin Support if you feel like you want to explore that option.

        Good luck.

You have to make a lot of sales at at 4% commission rate to make a decent amount of money. And you need to either rank for thsoe keywords to get people to come to your site first becasue I think, I am not positive about this, that your Amazon affiliate cookie is only set for 24 hours. that is what they used to do, I do not honestly know if that is still the case.

For your site, here are some things you can test to see if they improve things at all.

Since this is a review site, it would be good to have review in the titles of your posts.

It would also be good to have one review on a page instead of 3 posts.

Try using a static home page with links in the navigation to your reviews.

I would doubt that many people ar coming to your site to subscribe to your RSS feed. Just let go of that. I would also be surprised if people were coming to your site to see what you have to say on twitter either.

Because you are targetting Amazon, you need them to buy now, because if they come back later, after your cookie has expired, you are not going to get the commission.

Chnage up the color to something besides A10000. TO many peopl red, means stop. Not stop reading about the great offers, but just plains stop. Try green or blue.

You've got a lot of navigation on your site and your pages have too many choices. If you really wnat them to buy from your link, that is what you want tyour primary focus to be, selling them on clicking the link.

Thta probably means, rewriting your posts to put the emphasis on clicking the button.

Get rid of the dates on your posts. It might be cool now, to see that the blog is current, but unless you tkae these posts down in June and put up new ones, your reviews are going to be way out of date.

You do not need a tag cloud in yoru footer. Nobody really needs a tag cloud on a sales site because the people that are coming there want to buy something.

Your site is not really a blog, it is a site made using WP as a CMS.

So those are some things you could try to see if they help with your conversions rates.

IMHO, another theme will serve your purpose better. Sidebar is too wide, what that does is take up all the space from your review content.

People will see half empty web page.

I will also change the yellow button text. People won't trust a newish looking website to click the buy now button. May be a button that says "buy now from Amazon" will work better and better click through.
