Help needed in using yahoo answers as a marketing tool

Hi guys.

Just wondering anyone here using yahoo answers as a marketing tool?

I am having a hard time utilizing yahoo answers - account being suspended for 3 times due to violation of the yahoo guidelines.

Any tips on using yahoo answers without being suspended?

Your help is highly appreciated !

Thanks !

They might be tightening up in their fight against spam robots, effecting everyone.

There are step by step guides out there...

No links in the body, only in refs

Make real answers and only infrequent ones with links.

Lots of people do. Usually (I think) they link their name to their website to increase backlinks and traffic. Theres a big market for people buying Level 2 accounts, though, if you're interested in providing a service.

I use Yahoo level 2 accounts for marketing and never get banned.

    This is what you do:
    1. Create one account for each top level niche you are in.
    2. Spend some time everyday with your accounts and answer the questions you can even if they are not related to your product, just be helpful. Then of course, whenever your product is relevant to the question, recommend it!

It's as simple as that and it works, try to upload pictures representing the average person in your niche as well to boost your click through.

You can answer questions but don't put links. Maybe the administrator will consider it spamming.

  • Whenever I use Yahoo Answers I always make sure that I'm providing content that is reliable to the visitors. This not only prevents you from breaking Yahoo's TOS, but it gives you authority in that field you are answering questions in. Make sure that your answers are informational but also give resources (aka your web business) to further assist the visitors. NEVER have links in the body, always the references section.

i only insert links in the reference section but i am still being suspended.

Could it be because that i inserted links in the ref section for every answer that i posted that yahoo answer deemed me as a spammer?

You can put links if they are relevant to the question. Don't put any links to your website, not even in the reference section, unless it's relevant for the question.

For some niches you get a good amount of traffic, I find it to be quite good traffic when it comes to conversions.

You should not add your website URL in the reference section every time you answer a question. That's spamming. Instead only link to your website or product when it's relevant to the question being asked.

It could be that you are putting links in the ref section all the time. People might think that you are a spammer if you are putting links that don't have correlation to the content as well. Or it could be that you aren't blending the links correctly in Yahoo.

I think what you just missed out is the appropriate use of links. As mentioned above, don’t place it on the main answer’s body. Make sure to cite it as reference to avoid being suspended.
