Why dont any of my pages get indexed with google?

Hi, I have a site and I use" Word press robot" to post articles on it every day. I have been seeing that I still have only 1 pages indexed with Google.

I had this site for 3 month and I know articles are being posted and pinged by "word press robot" On a new page every day. I don't understand how I can only have one page indexed when I have way more than that. I use Yahoo.com "linkdomain(my url)" To check the pages.

Is there a different way to index pages so Google sees them or any way to fix it? Help!!!!

You can submit a site for indexing in the google webmaster tools, having a site map might help. Some prefer to not be pushie, they allow Google to discover their site through backlinks. You do have backliks from other sits?

Well it depends on your website Title, Meta Description, Meta Keyword. You NEED to have a keyword plan or strategy. Know which keywords you are targeting and what you got to do to get there. If you are just putting pages up and waiting on results it will not happen. You want a free SEO Analysis of your website then go here Free Top 10 SEO Report Sign-up

If I were you, here's what I do to get a website indexed:

      1. install all in one seo plugin and google xml sitemap plugin for a wordpress-theme website
      2. create some posts with keywords in the title
      3. use onlywire to get some backlinks from bookmarking sites.
      4. insert google analytics code.
      5. use google external keyword tool and get them to crawl your website.
      6. Submit your site to major search engines (this free url submission service is available in the cpanel)
      7. Go to fiverr dot com for some backlinking service for just 5 bucks. Backlink from gov and edu sites are good.

It's a lot of work but that's what I do for my clients to get their new website indexed.

Thanks, I have it. But talking about all in one seo plugin, should I have the "Use noindex for Categories" box checked or unchecked?

Maybe your home page has seen these pages and decided not to index them for some reason?

If you have a valid xml sitemap (uploaded in webmaster tools) or they are linked from your home page or another page that is already indexed, they should eventually show up.

You want get indexed by Google if your site is coming across as a site with a whole bunch of duplicate content with no Theme or LSI Model. Your website has to look like it is about one topic. If the title of your website is "How to train a cat" and you start talking about BMW's. Google is going to stop indexing your page especially if you have adsense all over it.

go to Google's main search page and type in site:yourdomain.com

That will tell you what's being indexed. If you're site's not there and it's been 3 months, then come back and post your site for us to look at.

I used the Google one you just and it showed a lot of my pages. But when I did the same thing using yahoo it says I have only one.

Is there a program to double check the number of pages indexed?

If Google listed a bunch of your pages by doing the site:yourdomain.com then they are indeed listed.

Now you just need to work on getting those sites ranked for longtail keywords so that you get found.

I don't believe you have a listing issue with the search engines.

Try using Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer with Yahoo.

Yes I have a site map and all the things you need (contact us page, Privacy policy all that) I don’t even see those pages indexed only my home page. I tell WP robot to post articles only about my topic and only with my Keywords.

  • It sounds like you don't have a sitemap that is Google friendly. Make sure that you create one. Google should be able to naturally find your other pages if you create a good sitemap. Also, you might want to focus more on your backlinks if you are not seeing the progress you are wanting. Give it some time and it should come if you picked the right keywords to target. I wish you luck!

Is it a good idea to do that? What about duplicate content that they are talking about?
