Hello Warriors,

Have you had the success on cloning your site using the wptwin program?

The steps are just really straightforward and anybody could follow them. I followed the exact steps but it did not work for me. I wonder, perhaps this has something to do with my web hosting, I am using the oneandone.

Please share some of your experiences if you have tried using the wptwin in cloning your site. I have contacted their support too.

Hello,
I have cloned several sites and only had one problem which was caused by the SEO All-In-One plugin. I had to deactivate the plugin then clone the site. Everything worked fine after that and it was a simple matter to activate the plugin again.

I've used it often and once to transition my biggest site to a new domain. I was impressed with how well the transition went, using WPTwin. It even changed all my internal links and affiliate redirects properly, without me having to do anything.

I can't really give any tips. I follow the steps in the instructions and it works for me. That's it...

I've used it and it worked perfectly on Bluehost, Hostgator and Arvixe, not so good on Dreamhost.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, however...WPTwin worked for one site, but not my business...when I got to domainname.com/wptwindeploy.php it will tell me:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Is your site based off of Wordpress? Your site needs to
be based on it before the script can work for you. Also,
you need to be logged in as the administrator before
the script can clone your site.

Bought it, tried it on one of my sites, worked a treat! Thank you Jason & Wilson! I am with ixwebhosting and it cloned the site fine with them. This will be perfect for deploying client sites! Stoked with this software!

Does anyone know if WPTwin works when you install wordpress locally on your machine?
I've used WPTwin before when the wordpress website is installed on a server but never when installed locally.

I've tried using it but it doesn't give me the backup file to download?
Am I doing something wrong?

P.S. I have logged a support ticket but wanted to know if anyone else has done this successfully.
