Hello I have a quick question, I am opening up a niche blog with low competition. I was wondering how many articles on average do I need to write to have my page on the first page of google. And is it wise for me to submit the same article on every article site or do I write a unique article for each one?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but thanks in advance for the replies.

For my product review based sites, I do about 10 articles. That's the "universal" average, in my opinion at least. So 6-10 and you should be pretty set.

As for the new article for every site, no. You can do one article for several sites, I don't recommend every doing all with the same article. Then change it up, either spin it or something to that extent and do the rest of the article sites.

Don't forget about social bookmarking though, it's a great back-link tool as well.

There really isn't a "number of articles" that can determine the answer to this question.

Getting your page onto the first page of Google (for any specific keyword(s) for which people search) depends partly on the number of backlinks your page has, not on the number of articles per se.

I'm not being pedantic for the sake of it. It's important to understand the distinction, because:-

    (a) there are many other ways of getting backlinks (many of which are in any case much better than article directory backlinks, which are typically non-context-relevant, PR-0 backlinks of very low value)

    (b) when you put articles in directories, other people can take them and republish them on their sites (this is what article directories are there for), so you can't possibly tell how many backlinks you'll get from syndicated copies of your articles (unless of course you use such bad articles that nobody takes them at all!!) - it's easily possible for one good, syndicated article to end up being of more backlinking value than 30 other articles put together, so a "raw number", in itself, is absolutely meaningless: what matters is to learn how to produce articles like that "one"

    (c) getting your site onto Google's first page can be done with no articles at all (there are thousands of "authority sites" right at the top of various Google SERP's for which nobody has ever done any "article marketing" at all).

It depends why you're submitting them.

If you're doing so only for backlinks, then there's no conceivable benefit to re-writing/editing/amending/spinning at all, because the (low) value of the backlink your article will get will be identical in all cases.

It isn't a dumb question at all! It's a highly relevant and important one on a subject about which there are hugely widespread misunderstandings, mostly because so many internet marketers don't understand the difference between "duplicate content" and "syndicated content".

When you have time, a really long, careful read through this fine thread about article marketing will be very, very helpful to you, in understanding this point and many others, and answering many other questions you'll have. Rarely have so many successful, expert article marketers all posted in the same thread, all saying the same things and explaining the reasons for them: make the most of it!

      Thomas,

Bit of friendly advice. You're brand new and I've just looked at all of your posts. Firstly what you've written here isn't a question, it's a statement.

Secondly, instead of writing strange one line answers to get a good post count, take your time and contribute to the forum. That way you'll get a reputation and people may actually buy from the links in your signature.

Just trying to help you out sir.

From my experience i will Advice to go with 2 articles every day

And of course you can post same articles on various sites but make sure author name should be same.

The important part is backlinks do not put more than 2 back links in each article and make sure that each link must target relevant keywords and content. And with in a span of 20 days your ranking will surely increase.

I would submit as many as you possibly can in a day, then convert those articles to video articles and submit those to youtube and other video sharing sites.

I have set up a daily routine lately and it forces me to sit down and do the work, such as article writing and submitting. I have been writing 1-2 articles a day for each of my niches (at approx 10 articles now per campaign) and I am seeing some good results. I think the "Turn them into videos" is also a great idea. I put 2 videos out and was on first page google within a couple days. Articles & Videos = happy affiliate
    Have a happy day!

It also depends on how optimized your website is for the search engines. I mean on page optimization. You also need to check how solid the other websites on page one are.

Write some articles and place them on a good article directory such as Ezinearticles. I usually write about 15 to 20 articles. The articles will also end up ranking high on page one if you also backlink them through social bookmarking.
