NEWBIES: How Can I Help You This Year?

Hello Newbies and aspiring marketers.

I've been marketing and creating websites for years now. I've made thousands of dollars during this time and in the year 2011 I want to help YOU out...

I want to hear your questions, struggles and roadbumps.

I have made money with ALL of these methods, at least a few dollars, but mostly ClickBank, AdSense and my own products to generate in excess of ~$100k:

- Clickbank
- Amazon
- AdSense
- Commission Junction
- CPA Networks, tons of them
- PayPal
- Listbuilding
- and many more...

I'd say I've tried most of the ideas I've read about in this forum, ebooks, conferences etc. I put a lot of the methods to use that work for "1 individual". I don't want a big business with office etc. I'd rather work from home (in the true sense of the word) and have my freedom, time and own thoughts, feelings and pretty much do what I feel like during the day.

Shop, exercise, sleep, watch movie, be with girlfriend, have dinner, go to movies etc...

I started with $200 that I borrowed from my dad and now I make thousands a month from around 150 websites, blogs, sales letters, opt-in pages etc...

Although everything has been good "for me" I still see people who aren't able to make a dollar or even get traffic at all... I feel it's "unfair" that I can set up a brand new site and 2 weeks later be earning $10 a day from that site, without anything more than 1 post and some AdSense. No backlinks or very few etc.

I think it's about working SMARTER and knowing what works. Testing and trying A LOT of stuff. Don't be afraid to waste time on failing projects. I've had 100+ failed projects, lol...

I learned a lot from these mistakes and had many lessons... It is worth going for niches that have either HIGH VOLUME, LOW COMPETITION or HIGH VOLUME, HIGH COMPETITION...

Low volume is kind of stupid, as there is no money and low return for your investment of either money or time. Think BIGGER...

Some of my worst sites follow the classic "find a niche with 3,000 searches a month" and some offers. I've never had more than maybe 100-200 visitors a day to a site like that... The niche is just too small... This means a lot of wasted effort Kind of makes you feel like crap at times...

Other times, I've had niches with like 24,000 searches a month, EXACT match, no competition AT ALL and exact matching domain names pop-up with $2 CPC. Those sites I spent like 40 minutes on and is still pumping out $10-$20 a day on autopilot.

Yes... you need competition and THOUSANDS of searches in Google. Even if you get #1 for a term that has 2,000 searches a month for example, you will probably only get 20-30 visitors a day...

If we look at some of the common guidelines for SEO, they say, find low-searched words with little competition and dominate those terms. Well, I've dominated terms with 100,000k searches and do to this day... I'm #1,2,3 etc and I get only 15,000 visitors a month to that site. SEO is unreliable at best when looking and doing research from Google Keyword tool...

This is how you know that you will have a profitable site before you even begin building it...

A tip I can give you is to go to Flippa.com and find a site that is making what you want to earn... Let's say, $100 a day with AdSense... Find out what keywords, CPC etc that site has and replicate that site. Work on it until it ranks #1 in Google... or above the person selling the site. If he has a certain layout, copy that layout. Does the site have 5-10 articles? Do 25, etc. Deep link better than him and get all his links too...

Build more backlinks with articles, blog comments, forums, high PR sites, profiles etc, etc until it ranks #1... Check how long it took for the person selling the site to get ranked. If it said 2 months, then WOHOOO, cha-ching you have a winner... Within 3-4 months of work you should be able to rank your site and earn $100 a day too!

Analyze their competition with tools like SEO rush, SEOQuake etc. The lower the PR of the competition and the lower the backlinks volume the better, if all other variables are working.

There are too many things to look at to post here...

The point of this post is to ASK what you WANT to achieve and what you have tried... I see a lot of people failing, who work harder, much harder than me... I think it's only fair to help some of the people who do "everything right", except make money =)

Please post your system, plans, ideas and I'll try to see if it is a viable plan for success.

Hopefully I can help and inspire thousands of people to make it in 2011. It's the year where the focus is moving from "me making money" to "helping YOU make money"...

Never give up!

- Chris

I have a few sites that are starting to trickle in some money.

A question I have for one of my Adsense sites:

It seems that as time goes on, I'm getting less and less $ per click. My site has 10 articles, informational only (language), and I have adsense ads sprinkled in. I'm ranked #4 overrall on Google for two different keywords that have 8,000 to 14,000 exact searches per month each.

I'm getting 200-250 visitors per day, and between 10-15 clicks per day. The estimated CPC is $3.40 for my main keyword, so I was excited when the site first started up. However, when I began getting traffic I was only getting $0.06 to $0.10 per click, and now it seems to just go lower and lower. Today I've had 5 clicks and my estimated earnings is only $0.12.

Can someone explain what the problem is?

If you really want to help newbies, tell them the things that everyone seems to leave out of every single IM course/book/report ever released.

Niches that you are Currently profiting in
        Keywords you are employing
        Domains you are utilizing

Don't get me wrong once in awhile a marketer will share some of this info, but usually it is a niche that is no longer viable or just way to competitive for a newbie.

        best of luck,

          These things are related.

When you tell a room full of people "I make money doing X," some of them are going to go start doing X themselves.

Multiply by a few hundred, and doing X becomes awfully competitive.

Sometimes the excessive competition kills the niche, and then it's no longer viable.

Since this is basically bad for everyone, most marketers don't do it. Especially when they're actively relying on that niche for their own income.

Hello there, I have been sitting on a website idea for a while now, yet have no idea what the next step would be to getting this concept into reality. Who do i approach for web design? I am a bit concerned that whoever i ask to design the site might just copy my idea? would it be best of propose a joint venture instead?

      Hey Chris,

I read your "Lazy Millionaire" sales page; are these really the techniques you use, or do you use currently other techniques since this course is more than two years old?
