Question Regarding Wordpress

Hey Guys,

In the admin/general settings of your wordpress blog, do you usually check the box "Anyone can register"?

Is it safe? I'm asking because I just got so many registrations today for one of my blog.

    I never allow anyone to register. It might not be "unsafe", but there is no point in allowing it that I can see. Anyone trying to register is just a spammer.

    It all depends on what you are setting up.

    For example if you are offering private content you may want to tick it.

    If you do want people to sign up make sure they have to fill in a capture code or something to deter the robots.
