Don't feel bad but i started reading about IM back in September and i made my first sale a few days ago and my second today, i think IM it's all about patience. Read and learn how everything works first.

I agree with Kan: you must read many posts in the Warrior forum, but not only for a week. You must read a lot, until you’ll learn many important secrets about internet marketing.

Decide, before anything else, what niche you're going to operate in. And if you can avoid the internet marketing niche, which is just jammed, you'll be doing yourself a big favor.
What do you earn your living from now? Do you have an expertise that you can pass on to other people? Or do you have a hobby that you've been enjoying for years... use that knowledge to put together your first product.
If you want to be an affiliate for products, you still need to select, and concentrate on, a specific niche to be successful. That's how you build a reputation and a following.

Mike Long, an amazing internet marketing teacher, puts it this way. The secret is that there is no secret. Once you figure out what works for you, it turns into a matter of streamlining. There are many ways to approach this. All of them have been proven time and time again.

It's almost scientific. You learn it well enough. Then you execute what you have learned. You keep going until you make your first sale. Repeat what you did, then scale it up!

Go to where the buyers are. Why is the WSO section filled with offers? Why do they go up all day long? Because for people who sell products that cater to this market understand that the WSO section is where the buyers are.

Selling other peoples products is no different. Obviously you can't post it on the WSO section, but you have to put it in front of the buyers in your market.

If you are selling a weight loss product, where do overweight people hang out? Where do they come together to talk, play games, look at each other, work out, read books, drink coffee....where do they come together? That is where you need to go!

My first business I started is in the baby/maternity niche. You know how I marketed that store? I stood in front of Lamaze classes and handed out coupons. I hired college kids to hang out in the baby section of big boxers like Wal Mart and Target and hand out coupons. I hired more kids to hang out in chains like Toys R Us and Babies R Us and hand out coupons.

I went where they were and brought my product to them.

In my 20 years of owning businesses, I've had the pleasure of meeting with, networking with, and talking with thousands of "internet marketers". I saw two things. I saw a small percentage who made a killing overnight. I was a very large percentage that made enough to pay the car payment (a Hyundai..not a BMW). The small percentage who made a killing quickly stopped right there. They made their money and were broke 3 months later.

There were a select few, maybe 9 or 10 people in total that I've met, that stuck to basic business principals and built a company the correct way. They made "income" relatively quickly compared to an offline business, but they weren't an overnight success. They built a steady, long term, sustainable business that will last them a lifetime.
