What are your goals for 2009?

I was reflecting back on what has been a busy year for me, getting married and busy offline.

I made a post on my blog reflecting back and also forward and what I hope to achieve in 2009 ....

Got me wondering what goals fellow warriors have set themselves for 2009?

I was hoping also to get some further insperation from your replies

I'll not bore everyone with my specific goals.

What I will say is that I'm setting goals differently this year.

    How?

Instead of looking at the year stretching ahead and kidding myself I'll kick ass in a whole bunch of new areas, I'm going to laser-focus on what I do best.

Even so, I have a million and one things I'm going to be doing.

In a nutshell, don't allow the prospect of a whole new year allow you to get distracted. We all know that's our number one enemy!

    Cheers,

    Neil

This has been a very successful year for me, so my plans are to explore new ideas in online as well as offline marketing.

My goal is to be able to bring my husband home and have him retire in 2009. He is 40 and a disabled vet.

To do that, I need to double what I am making now.

        No problem!

I'll move to the US next year.... Hurray! With my family.

In fact I am starting a private blog December on how I make the money to move to the US in April. Obviously I need a home, 4 cars, 1 for each of us, And a strong proven revenue stream of double the amount that I need. Also I am not a US resident or related to any US citizen in any way, the only way I can move to the wonderland is by becoming an investor and purchasing an already existing business... So I'd need money for that too.

    But hello! I am coming.

The plan's laid out and I am executing it. It's pretty simple actually oce you know how to outsource!

My biggest goal is to get out of debt and come 31 Dec 2009, I will have achieved that!

Spend more time with my daughter who is about to be 7 in Jan and enjoy life more than I have been.

As for the amount of money I want to be earning next year, well I am going to sit down, plan out what I have to do to earn the figure I have in mind and draw up month by month plan and execute the hell out of that plan!

I already know how to make money online! I already know I can make money online! I simply have to now come up with a plan that I can automate from niche to niche and ramp up my earnings!

Best of luck to all in hitting your personal goals for the year ahead!

In July 2007 following some major life changes, I came up with a list of life goals. I'm sure to many they'll sound lame or weak, but they were mine.

    • Trekking in Nepal (I found out a few months after making the list that my church scheduled a mission trip to Nepal. I'm going this May - after I raise $2500.)
    • Read the Bible (I'm up to John.)
    • Begin exercising regularly and eating right (I've lost 85 lbs. since that day. I still exercise 6 days per week and have been following BodyforLife since last January.)
    • Learn to play the guitar (a friend gave me an acoustic guitar and I've started with chords. I have calluses, but really need a solid lesson plan.)
    • $10,000 per month (I'm afraid that while this goal was specific, I should have made it more tangible. I find myself DRIVING to make the minimum I need to survive and have a hard time really reaching for more. It's classic self-limiting behavior.)
So I will revise my goals for 2009 to include specifics for an income (i.e. what kind of lifestyle do I want from that income), a specific plan for the guitar lessons, and a monthly goal for the remainder of the Nepal fundraising.

    -Kelly

    Side note:

A friend just returned from a mission trio to the Dominican Republic. He went to assist with a HUGE baseball camp. For the youth there, baseball is one of the only ways out.

In Nepal, they don't even have baseball.

    • Physicians (density per 100,000 population) (2007) 21
    • There are 107,000 Bhutanese refugees who have resided in camps in Eastern Nepal for the last 16 years with complete reliance on international aid.
    • More than 20,000 Nepali girls/women are sold into slavery each year
    • An estimated 95% of the population of the country has never even heard of Christianity.

We will be spending 4-5 days in Kathmandu then the remainder of our 12 days trekking between villages in the Everest region.

I just want to have freedom.
I want to be able to live in Thailand and support myself here.
I really don't even need that much money to do it.
I can live well on $50 per day..
Of course, I obviously want to make more than that ..

So, specific goals by the end of 2009 ..

    Write 1000 articles
Have a targeted opt in mailing list of 100,000 people
Earn between 40,000 - 50,000 a year (that goes a long way in Thailand)

    And non-IM related ..

Fight before the King of Thailand in the "Kings Cup" next December ..

Since it is a "How to Make Money" forum - I will list some of my monetary goals.

In 2008 I achieved most of my goals, when it came to money. I achieved my plan of becoming a full time IM'er and making enough money to pay all my bills and a vacation in Europe. I guess for 2009 I need to raise the bar a little, so here we go:

    - In 2009 I will make my second million dollars... since the first millions that I planned to make in 2008 was never made

    - In 2009 I will buy a house here in Montreal. And another one in Spain or Germany.

    - In 2009 I will visit at least 5 different countries... on vacation.

    - In 2009 I will buy the new BMW M5 - yes I am a car freak and my $30,000 Volkswagen just isn't doing the job

    ... small goals for now

Hey Tina I think you're the US equivalent of me!

that's my goal. My Bloke is a carpenter & was really sick earlier this year so he took 6 months off & he's struggling back at work now. So my goal is to get him to retire - he can stay at home & finish our house, we can buy a camper & travel around Australia - with my business on the internet.

I want to double the number of members in our private membership site who become 6-figure earners in 2009.

For me, this is the ultimate test of an online business is how much of an impact you are having on other people's lives...there is no high greater than hearing from someone who has emerged from a desparate, futile situation into one where they have immense hope, self-confidence and enthusiasm about the future.

The more impact I can have, the more amazing my life becomes and the money takes care of itself.

These are goals from now until mid Feb. Then I'll start really attacking 2009.

    1. create 15-20 high quality dropshipping sites. I have 2 right now.

    2. create 100 automated niche blogs that are hands off and bring in adsense and aff marketing $$$.

    3. write 2-5 ebooks that I can sell on click bank and other sites.

    4. build a massive mailing list.

Essentially all these little processes I'm setting up are built to free me from the rat race. You know, actually working a job

Once all these are set up I'm going to take a crazy vacation. Get a pimp house.

After sitting down and talking with Hubby some more, we have developed more of a plan.

We still have a goal of Dec. 2009 for his retirement, but we have more concrete goals for the level we want to be when he retires.

We have decided that $10,000 a month (passive income - not by writing for clients) is where we want to be so that he can retire.

      Does that sound crazy?

Break it down by the numbers:

      213 sales/month @ $47 each

      371 sales/month @ $27 each

      589 sales/month @ $17 each

      1429 sales/month @ $7 each

It is very doable, and I am so excited!

My goal is to make about $10,000 month from scratch. I've been just watching and reading my guts out for the last two years. I figured it was a good route for me, not to blow money.

I'm going to start some niche blogs in medium to small niches and also try to market my websites offline.

Are going to create this sites just to flip for upfront revenue, to fund my big business idea.

Well thought hard about this, and i've come the conclusion that if you want something bad enough and you really put your all into it, nothing is impossible, so what i think i want the most is to succeed online and start earning a wage that can support me and my family,i'm up for any suggestions how i can succed in doing this, got lots of ideas, know any proven courses that are real cheap or free, i'm broke i have spent at least $15000 over the last 2yrs on every product that comes out, i like the idea of website flipping and one got any more info on that or doing up squidoo pages and selling them, hey does any one know how know how to add friends to your list.

I want to build a (compared to the other goals here really tiny) steady stream of passive income through automated blogs.

around 1k Euro per month would be perfect (i dont mind if its more ). i want to raise that money without long hours, because i want to attend school in summer again, so that i can go to college after 3 years

I am now more determined than ever to hit my goals, I now feel I will hopefully surpass them, I still have not given myself a monthly $ target yet ...

Would you say that is important or will that take care of itself and then I can build on it?

2.) Move my girlfriend here to Colorado.
3.) Make enough income monthly to live wherever we want.
4.) Take up all my old hobbies.
5.) Never work a job again.
    6.) Realize 'Guru' status.

Our aim is to establish i-Tr@der and the Internet Marketing Help Desktop, and get them to market through internet marketing.

Furthermore in my spare time i am going to start trying to earn a little extra money for myself, i say a little, i just want to see a first sale then i can get going with motivation...

That's why i'm here on the forum, learning!

I want to earn $10,000 for the whole year!
