I have been writing a blog what should I do with it?

I have 4 or 5 posts in this blog I'm writing currently and will continue writing them but not sure what to do with it yet.

I am gonna be article marketing through clickbank and the stuff I wanna market is of the same niche as the blog so is there something I can do to use the blog to help boost my sales with that?

I am gonna make a separate landing page/review site for the products aside from this blog- the blog being just my own content I put up as I have thoughts related to the niche (i.e. not about selling stuff atm).

Thoughts?

The first thing you want to do before you start selling stuff on a blog is to build a loyal readership base.

Think long term, and don't go after the money too quickly with blogging. Post up high quality content related to your niche, and after you've got a good readership with great participation in terms of comments, you should start recommending products that you sincerely feel will help them.

You'll get a lot more people linking to you this way, you'll have a lot more traffic, and people will genuinely want to read your words.

So many people have the mentality to extract value from their visitors. This is the wrong way, the right way is to add a lot of value to their internet experience first, and after doing this consistently ask for a little value in return. You'll make a lot more money this way, but its not easy and it takes some time.

Hmmmm, depends on the purpose of your blog.

I create a blog for a niche with the purpose of using it as a repository for the articles I am creating for article marketing, posts which include my YouTube videos, and other original content only for the blog. (I post the articles to my blog first, article directories second.)

The blog is designed to rank highly from an SEO standpoint, not necessarily from the standpoint of creating a "following" especially for niches which are of a product review nature. Most people look for reviews at the moment they are preparing to purchase and then quit reading reviews so would never become a "loyal reader".

On these blogs I may be attempting to capture leads immediately or move them forward to purchase a product through an affiliate link. This starts on day 1 of the blog.

With your advice if I create a blog which is for the purpose of treating genital warts I would be waiting to have a loyal following of readers, but all of my previous visitors would have already moved on, purchased a product, and hopefully be enjoying relief.

I'm actually having a very hard time thinking of a niche I would not have at least a manner of lead capture or monetization in place starting almost immediately.

Right, now this is just along the sort of lines I was thinking of using it for.

To be an additional net to catch more people and send them onto my other more salesy sites.

Any more tips on how this would be done?

I was thinking of continuing to post good solid but general content on this blog (I.e. unrelated to specific reviews just general content on the niche) then have links to my proper sales/review site which then will, with another click through, take them to the direct link). So I guess the sell gets a bit harder with each progressive click through. Does this sound like a good idea? Anything better/additional to add?

Ok, I might keep this one separate to my other article marketing for now then.

Haha I have to get readers to my blog 1st anyhow so will concentrate on that .
