Need help fast! Pamela recording echo and I don't know how to fix

Hey all,

I have an interview in 45 min on Skype and I'm using Pamela to record it. I thought it tested well but after listening to the recording it looks like there is an echo on my end.

There is no echo during the conversation, just on my end on the recording. Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm still waiting on a response from the support team as well.

Thanks

Brandon

Hard to say without knowing your recording setup, but my first guess is that you have your speakers on while you're recording. Switch to a headset, or at least headphones.

Check your sound card interface and make sure it's set to 'microphone' and NOT 'stereo mix'...this has been my issue in the past when recording skype calls.

If that's not the issue causing it then I don't know what else to say. Hopefully you get it worked out before the interview.

        Good luck!

I have done another 2 intervies and I'm having the same problem

I have checked all the above and still I'm having the same issue. The weird thing is that it's not happening until the 15-20 min mark....

So frustrating....3 interviews now that I paid for and they are not in sellable condition.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

I had this problem, so after a trying this and that I did the obvious: went to Pamela site, got a technical help ticket, explained the problem, in a few hours they sent me a free download for Pamela Pro - no problem now!

If you want to try to salvage the 3 interviews I can see if the noise will filter out. It is never perfect but sometimes I can get it into very usuable shape.
