Ok guys.

I guess someone might have asked this before.

Whats considered a good clickthrough rate?

I am currently having a clickthrough rate of 3% in average for my ezine articles.

Is that considered as a very low clickthrough rate?

any tips on increasing the clickthrough rate of my articles %?

i have only 3 articles on hand though :p .

Does your resource box have a STRONG 'call to action'?

      -Dani

P.S. If you want to PM some links to a few of your articles, I will take a look at them and tell you where I see room for improvement.

Obviously the OP knows they need a better call to action - duh! How about SHOWING samples though.. some real help.

Many people could benefit from this. Just don't post the URL link so as to keep within forum rules.

Ezine Articles is bad for direct linking, they have so many adsense blocks before people even reach your link.

Great for SEO/Backlinks, bad for direct traffic.

      I realise this too.

I believe the typical information seeker will just browse through the article and missed out the resource box at the end of the article in the process.

However, Ezine is a good SEO Source.

My article was 1st in google search results !

        Good job!

Just browse through some of the other top article directories and see which has the most obvious resource links.

A few good ones are: GoArticles, Articlesbase, Suite101, ArticleFactory.

With a bit of offpage SEO to the articles you can have them rank highly from whatever directory they are from.

        Cheers,
        Dave

Your call to action or lack thereof, is the reason you have low CTR. Write your call to action that grabs you reader's attention and entices them to go to your site. You could easily jump from 3-25%, with five minutes of your time.

Here is one of my "personal gems" that I use to routinely receive an average CTR of 30-35% on my articles...

You have to essential make the resource box part of your article. Now, this is tricky, but it can be done. Just end the article vaguely, and then have a strong call to action in the resource box.

Also, I sign my articles (not really sign, but just type my name) in the resource box AFTER my links. Think about it... a lot of people are used to reading letters, and a letter isn't over until you see someone's signature. The articles I have which include my name at the end get a much higher CTR!
