The best converting copy ever? Hmmm

by Richard Van 9 replies
Well, my heavily gaurded inbox has been breached and I just got a fantastic bit of spam.

Having collected myself from the floor having laughed myself off the chair, I feel the need to share this classic piece of marketing with my fellow Warriors.

The subject line was "Holiday Discount". Don't know why I opened it, maybe it's the snow and cold weather but I did.

Now you may get these all the time so excuse me if this a regular occurence for you but it was a first for me.

Inside the email was this excellent piece of copy, please read this and see if you get sold by the idea as well...

Big on seem indeed.

Underneath was a link to the famous pill some men take to keep "on the job" for longer.

What's amazing is most people surely wouldn't get to the link.

Still, I'm going to tweak the copy and see if it works on some of my sites.

Test everything they say.

Don't tweak it too much! A mantelpiece like this is easily ruined. You wouldn't want it to lose that certain je ne sais kwaaar, and I've even heard it mentioned that syndicated copy is better than tweaked copy, too: I'm just saying ...

I'm presuming you mean paracetemol, as i've always found that that clears up a headache and allows me to keep building sites

Can't think what else you could possibly mean - although for some reason I've been thinking about a large waterfall in canada. Weird.

I think there is no reason to tweak it because the tendency to drive more influential removal from computer that Google policies about perpetual morgages from Warner personal hardwires that certainly deliveres more clouds over the mountains in the north of political corvettes. Too big on seems indeed.

Haha! Once, I (or a friend, don't recall) got a spam email saying "get your free sample of tuna!" I wish I knew the mental process spammers go through when creating such silly marketing pieces.

      It is simple...

Go to your mom's house, and have her drop you on your head a few times...

Then go to your house and beat your head against a brick wall a few more times...

Then go to the biker bar and ask them which sissy in this room full of sissies wants to come and play with you.... The beating your receive may be immense, but it will start to get you into the right mindset...

Then go home, and trick the microwave into thinking the door is closed, and cook your head for a few seconds.... (Unbelievably, I have seen this one done...) I could go on a tangent here that is quite funny, but I won't...

If at this point, you are not yet in the right mindset, head down to the street corner to get the latest flavor of meth so you can soothe your remaining brain cells...

Once you have completed this process one-time or 20, then you will be better prepared to sit down and hen-peck your latest masterpiece -- one that may put this one to shame...

I tried to do this once, after staggering home drunk from the nearest "sissy bar", and paying a visit to the "street corner", but I couldn't fit my head in it.

So I settled for trying it with a baked potato instead.

Look! You should not have shared that with me... I'm stealing it! When I am a millionaire, I will take all of the credit for the creation of the world's greatest sales copy. That's what you get for sharing such an unguarded secret. So there!
