Have Signature Rules Changed?

I noticed a few members here who are using more than the allowed 5 lines of space for their signature file and was curious if the rules have been changed without me knowing. I've noticed it a lot more lately, but ever since we are now allowed to have images in our signature I started noticing it. I see 4 - 5 lines of text (which is fine within the rules) and then an image as well.

So can someone clarify for me whether it is 5 lines of just text, or 5 lines of whatever happens to be in the signature?

    If you pay for having an image in your sgnature you can have 6 lines.
