My optin page converts at 27.02%...

Looking at Google Analytics, I was pretty surprised that my optin page is at 27.02% for the past 3 days!

At first it was converting at 2%, which translates to only 2-3 sign ups per day.

Right now, it's 27.02%, which translates to an average of 50 sign ups per day.

Check out my current optin page:
Make Money in One Week!

So what did I do? Well, what I did was:
1) I just did a graphics makeover by buying this WSO:
http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ial-offer.html

2) I drive traffic using my own way: Google Adwords using a method that is sold as a WSO. To be frank, I have to use $0.05 to drive visitors but that's definitely better than paying $4 per click!

So, take a look at the optin page, check out the simplicity of layout and model after it.

When I say model, I mean model, which means: DO NOT TAKE MY GRAPHICS NOR MY WORDS, ETC

Take the principles used in my optin page and use it. Perhaps some experienced warriors could explain why this page works...

Now, time to test other stuff to see if I can convert even further...

Well, the format of such squeeze page has been proven to convert.
But having amazing graphics work as you have now certainly is a "plus"!

    Congrats

I wonder what your site looked like before you made the changes, do you have a before pic to show

this would give a good reference to how much of a difference the page looked like

Most of my pages convert well so this interest me as to what was not working for you

I'm fairly new to squeeze pages, and I'm about to launch one within the next few hours.

Interestingly though, I've been reading a lot that you should be looking for 40%+

If that's the case, you still have some work to do.

I may be wrong in this, and I'd love to hear from a seasoned IM on this, so that I know what to aim for.

My first optin page is similar to the current one, the only different is there is no graphic header and there is no graphic footer.

Here's the very first page that I used:
    http://www.makemoneyinoneweek.com/OldPage1.html

It doesn't convert well and I believe the reason is that it is too much words.

Then, I streamline the whole thing and try to make it simple:
    http://www.makemoneyinoneweek.com/OldPage2.html

Doesn't convert well, I believe it's TOO simple.

I added new graphics and the rest didn't change and it jumps to 27%

      Hey Joseph,

      Well done....

That's quite an evolution - from your first page which was quite
dreary to your latest one which is really hot...

      Thanks for sharing....

Joseph, I can almost guarantee even a higher conversion for you.
Just go to my page and for only $1,000 you will... I am KIDDING

Here is what I would test using your NEW page.
Instead of the "Earnings Proof" image on the left I would put a video, which tells a little more about the offer, also shows the proof of earnings on video and uses a call to action. When people hear it - they will sign up.

However, this is something to test, but I have seen it work wonders!

The simplicity of it most likely makes it easy and interesting to read.

I can see how it works well as an option page.

What about a sale page though?

Have you tried the short and sweet with that?

    Well done Joseph!

Yeah as a school of thought - or at least, in my own set of guidelines:

Less than 20% - needs improvement
    20% - 30% - doing good!
    30% - 40% - doing great!
    50% and above - simply phenomenal! :-)

    I've had a 40% opt-in for this: Hacker Guard

But.. my visitors have all been Warriors and super targeted Organic traffic for the above opt-in so I'm not sure if that really counts until I start getting natural keyword based traffic.

    Well done, Joseph.

    Awesome work man!

How much traffic are you pulling through that site at the moment? Over 1000 visitors so far? And is it adwords traffic or off forums?

I've had similar success in the past week from forum traffic, my product is currently converting at 6% (which is about the same conversion rate as my free report...)

    Cheers, Tim

Thanks for your replies guys! 27% is good but I know of marketers who converts at 57%.

That's what I want to target at.

My current source of traffic is PPC and I get about 200+ visitors to the site. My cost is only $0.05/click flat, considering that the traffic are mainly "make money" niche, this is really cheap...

I agree, this should be bookmarked.
I hope many people are taking the notes of the actual "structure" of the page, such as where is the OPT IN page placed, where is the image, what kind of headline is there... Design does matter but I think the actual structure matters even more.

I think a lot has to do with the location of your optin box. Before it was at the bottom of the page but now it's in the top of the fold and your proof as well. This is most likely why it is converting well.

You should also do another test. Take away all the graphics and just use the payout that you have right now along with your screen shots and see what that does for you.

You'll be surprised how much your conversions suffer when you put graphics
on there that may otherwise not be needed at al.

But, like everything, it doesn't mean it's this way across the board so test

Also, I took a look at your old pages and also do agree that the fact that your optin box was way at the bottom causing your visitor to scroll, it was defintiely hurting your conversion.

Keep everything above the fold for a squeeze page and you'll stack the odds in your favor.

I'm doing this with all my new sites and may eventually change my old ones, but having the desired action right in clear visibility without them having to scroll is a sure conversion booster when it comes to squeeze pages.

Yes, in creating my 3rd version, I missed out the arrows. I will make the optin box more outstanding later.

      3) Add a no-spam line below the "Download Now!" button.

      4) The header graphic is too tall - it almost forces you to scroll down on a typical 1200x800 resolution screen. Considering how little information you provide in that squeeze page, I would certain try to tighten everything above the fold.
I looked at the optin page and I do agree that the header is way too tall. I have to do a lot of changes but as a marketer it will take at least 5-6 days to change everything.

Why is that so? Because I have to TEST each of your proposed change.

Thanks for letting us know the results of your testing. I think everyone on this planet is very visual. Let's admit it! You wouldn't talk to a girl if she wasn't that good-looking would you?

It was a really big difference between your first opt in page and your second opt in page. The second opt in page was very clean and simple and it didn't hurt having a picture of a girl flashing money at you.

Yes, I do have to admit that the traffic I'm sending to that page is highly targeted, but it isn't highly targeted where I'd warm them up before I send them to the page. A simple text ad here and there is what made it convert.

Joseph, yea to some extent. I used tactics that have proven to work already and simply applied it to my squeeze page.

HOWEVER, my main squeeze on a different site only produces 31%. That figure is an average I got from about half a year and over 150,000 visitors to that squeeze page, and also targeted traffic only, not "laser" targeted. Targeted as in those who are interested in making money online.

Your squeeze page isn't too bad at all. I'm confident you can reach the 50% conversion mark. Keep tracking, testing and tweaking!
