Adding Trademark symbol in Wordpress

3 replies
Does anyone know how to add the TM superscript symbol to the blog title line in Wordpress. I'm guessing I need to edit the header file?

I searched the Wordpress forum, but all I could find there was an unanswered question.

A colleague and I have been advised by a solicitor to add it after the name of our site. The name is the blog title.

I could make it as a graphic but for seo purposes I'd prefer to stick with text in the title line, if I can.

    Hi Carol

    The HTML code for the Trademark Symbol ™ is

    & # 0 1 5 3 ;

    Just get rid of the spaces between each character . .

    If you go to Settings and Site Title - simply add that code to the end of the title, save, and it will show in your blog (assuming your theme uses the "site title")

      Thank you pj - worked like a charm

      I hope you don't mind, I've posted the answer in the Wordpress forum with a link back to this post. I searched there first, but found that someone else had asked the same question a few days ago and not received an answer.

    Or you can use Alt Codes. To use them just hold down the Alt key while pressing the numbers on your Number Pad. Here's a few examples:

    ™ 0153
    © 0169
    ® 0174

    You can find a whole list here.
