Is consistancy boring

Ok, so once again I am new at this. My site is a reviews site that attempts to monetize through Amazon. So far I have managed to make $1.52 in commissions off an unrelated (completely) product.

My current thoughts are to revamp the way I'm presenting my reviews. I am hoping to boil the reviews to a single, somewhat simple (though thorough) review template. I have read here that is exactly what some are doing.

My question is: Would this be boring my potential customers? or does the consistency throughout provide confidence and increase click-throughs?

I don`t find it boring. I think it`s one of the best things you could do. People will know where to look at if they are searching for a specific product. I also like to do this, and it`s easier to write, and to read!

I just had a look at your site. And I must say that I really like it. The design is just right and the contents are well written. Also the layout makes the site easy to navigate. Well done!

I could be completely wrong here but I was under the impression that a big part of the amazon game is to simply get your visitors to click through one of your links to Amazon where many people will end up buying something.

Similar to MFA sites, who cares about the content as long as your visitors click on an Ad. Once that happens, mission accomplished.

Are you keeping track of your traffic and what percentage follows through to amazon?

That click through percentage is probably your most important stat. Funnel more people (with your affiliate cookie) to amazon. Let amazon take over at that point and collect your commission.

You don't need to worry so much about pre-selling your traffic like you would with a clickbank product since amazon is a household trusted name and aren't too shabby when it comes to getting people to buy ceramic monkey's.

My advice, don't assume that just because you like/dislike something means your traffic will feel the same way.

Build your site to reach your goals.

    I'm all about that bass.

  • Consistency may be boring for you to create, but that's not the issue, is it? If you are dependable, predictable and reliable to your readers, that should be the key to your success.

Make sure you thoroughly track your performance (and that of your readers). This is one place where consistency is a must!
