Whats the best way to sale affiliate products?

Im wondering how I should get into affliate marketing. Should I build a business and sale affiliate products using the influence I've build up with the customers and pretty much just post links on the web page; or get a list going and sale from there or just simply direct all of my clicks to the cb hop link?

What has been most successful for you?

For a long term success it is preferable to have a list. In this case you can always promote good affiliate products to your list. There are a lot of WSOs here on building a list. Just get one with excellent reviews. Alternatively, if your search Google for free ebook on building a list, I am sure, you'll find plenty. Note, make sure that when you get subscribers you treat them like gold, and you'll benefit from it.

Long term success is based on your list of subscribers, as stated above.

But you could make sales off of website traffic. All you need to do is monetize your website so you have a way to get paid.

    From where to a hoplink?

    From a pre-selling website, possibly.

Not from article resource-boxes, though: that's a terribly difficult way to sell Clickbank products. Even most of the people here who do "direct linking" would advise you never to try it for Clickbank products. It can work for CPA offers.

Look at it this way: (almost) whatever Clickbank products you're promoting, most of your potential customers will have seen their sales pages before and not bought them. It's going to take more than an article to make the difference and be the person attracting their purchase. Your successful competitors (of whom there are many) are doing much more than this.

Affiliate sales are based on two (overlapping) things: (i) effective pre-selling, and (ii) building relationships with people on your lists.

If you're looking at Clickbank as a potential source of income (and I'm not suggesting you shouldn't: it's how I make a living, myself), you need also to be thinking of an autoresponder and email marketing.
