Article marketing advice

Hi,
I am sorry because I am a total noob, but at least I know it.
I am promoting the magic of making up via article marketing and URL forwarding from a domain name of my own. However, despite my articles and URL clicks, I could not make a sale.

I wanted to ask advice about that, because I do not have any presell page. The reader who clicks is directed to the sales page. Does that work really? Do I do something wrong?

Thank you for your help.

Why you are focusing on sales? If you focus on money, what happens if you don't see it in XX days? You feel bad, motivation drops, less effort...less results...everything repeats.

How many articles did you write? You can write 10 and wait.

Also how good was your keyword research?

Focus on progress. Set yourself a goal to write 10 articles per day. That's 70 per week and around 210 per month. Just keep writing. You see more and more results and progress then. If you get decent traffic, you think it's hard to get a sale?

I wrote 35 articles, and did keyword research. I made sure I had keyword density between 2 and 5 percent.

Actually, I wanted to ask if URL forwarding is a good marketing way or not?

      100% correct.
      keep doing the work
when you have over 200 unique visitors a day to your page - then you can start to consider tweaking your landing page / website.

until then - do videos, do articles, do slide-share, do a fan page, do back-linking, do do do do

    It depends...

It's better to use your own domain to set up a blog or small landing page. You have more options there.

But how good was your keyword research? Did you look in Google Keyword Tool for low competition keywords? If so, then that's not a keyword research.

Keyword research is when you build a huge list of keywords. Then filter out low competition keyword with Market Samurai and check their backlinks and top10 sites SEO.

Only then you will find good keywords. And only then you will get good results with 35 articles.

    Thank you for your help.

By landing page, you mean squeeze page to use with an autoresponder ?

No you are doing fine. But like what Margo told you, try to maximize the value of the domain you own. Build a blog in it, make your own pre-sell page. Yes do put up an autoresponder in it as well and start building up your list. Its easier to sell something if you have your own list.

I would pick a different product to promote because I think the sales copy for this one is boring. If I were trying to make up with my ex, I don't want a sob story. I want a solution...now!

Bladdi bladdi bladdi bladdi I know how you feel. Bladdi bladdi bladdi You can get her back. Bladdi Bladdi Bladdi I've been there, too.

The reader is thinking, "I don't care about you. I care about me!"

The real meat of the sales page is in the middle where it starts: Do you have these symptoms? I think your readers got bored after the first couple paragraphs.

Otherwise, you'll have to do a really good pre-sell with a landing page. But even then, I still think your readers would click away.

        Bad for biz.

I'd promote another product that connects with the reader right from the beginning.

I recommend submitting as many articles as you can, and making then as specific as possible. Keep your keywords specific to your niche. Always send visitors to a squeeze page to increase your opt-in list, then send them to that offer. Article Marketing is a great way to increase traffic.

Keep writing articles and don't give up - when you least expect it - things will turn around - it really depends on your niche
