do you think "relationship" niche is that hot?

Hi, I've been browsing through some affiliate comments and also products related to "relationship" niche like get your ex back, and some stuff like that.

Do you really think it's lucrative?

I don't personally target this niche but know a few who do and they tell me they make a nice chunk of change with it. I'm sure it's fairly competitive but once you get past that obstacle there is probably some money to be made.

Anything that taps into the various wants/needs/desires that come with being human are going to be lucrative. Relationships with others (romantic or otherwise) would be one of those wants/needs/desires.

It's a bit of a tough market to get into simply because it's so lucrative. However, if you can set yourself or your product apart (or simply market an affiliate product more effectively) you should do quite well.

It's a universal niche that touches nearly everybody at some point in their life.

Which sub-niches are the most lucrative, I dunno. Can't really say how well Get Your Ex Back does vs. Meet Local Singles vs. How To Pick Up Girls.

What do the affiliate comments have to say about it? Positive, negative, mixed?

I think that the "Get Your Ex Back" niche is too saturated at this point. I have had a site up for a year and it has made nothing. I have built tons of backlinks and tried my best with the SEO side of it, and keyword research. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or skipped a step some where? But I have not made a penny. I have even put out a ton of articles in various blogs and places like articlesbase and ezine. I get some traffic each month, maybe anywhere from 150 to 700 visitors, but no sales. So I think I'm missing something?

YEah, relationships is one of the biggest info-based niches on the net.

There is a lot of cross over too. You having relationship problems? It might be because you dont have money. Get money here by working online. Cant get a date? It might be because you smell bad. Get this body wash...

Thats one of the major reasons why its such a big niche, that and the desperate orientation of it.

I think you really hit on one of the big points of a niche here...how much crossover can you get.

Dating, Money, and Health are all perfect b/c you can get down to the sub-sub-sub niches that still have people spending thousands of dollars a day.

Asking if "relationship" niche is hot...is sort of the wrong question. The right question is what Daniel is saying "What sub niches and crossover promos can I get in a niche?" If it's a lot...it's hot.

      Bottom line.

      Cheers,

      Brad

For example, take love niche...there are so many sub-niches like "How to attract the opposite sex" , "Secrets of approaching"..."Killer Tips to date nice girls"..."killer tips to date actresses".... topics are endless...

There are plenty of hot topics with possibly hundreds
of sub niches that are not only popular but make money
          for affiliates or product producers.

Let's face it when are relationships and dating going to
          go out of fashion.

The papers are full of agony aunt's offering advice to
people how to deal with their relationship and I can't
really see guys ever stopping trying to chat up women.

If you set up a website or write some articles with good
and helpful advice then you will get readers and a chance
          to convert them into sales.

Today, the buzz word is Evergreen.

OLD world; The PARADE OF LIFE.

When we stop having babies? When do kids stop wanting toys? When do parents stop parenting?

From the cradle to the grave we pass through our own little parade.

The MARKETING secret is to choose a segment of the parade (or several) and offer products and services which will always be in DEMAND.

Too many warriors over complicate this.

BEST product/service for you to get involved with is PROBABLY one which you consume, use, need or want depending on where YOU are at in the parade.

Most teens can't relate to a 60 year old's needs and wants, however, most older people can relate and have EXPERIENCE they can share (market) to help the less informed.

If you are a young person and want to get rich quick...and that is a relative term...then you want to sell CONSUMABLES in a hot market and get your customers on an auto buy program.

This method has been proven, over and over again, to work. It may not suit you, and it may require some study and education...but you have a "tankful of time" (MeatLoaf) to get things going.

OLDER guys need to look for ways to quickly implement their experiences and extract as much gold from them as fast as they can.

Here are the 5 MAJOR Parade Places.

Relationships. Find them. Keep them. Change them. Build them. Destroy them.
Mental. Education. Learning. Ideas. Concepts. Beliefs.
Physical. Body. Earth and what's on it.
            Spiritual. Religion. Belief. Connection.
Financial. Money. How to make it, keep it, use it.

You'll find tons of sub niches within these major five.

And any ONE of them could be your key...find one which matches up with where you are at in your parade of life and then set up a TOLL BOOTH on the expressway these people are located on.

It isn't rocket surgery, you just need to open your eyes and look in the mirror and you'll see so many wants, needs, Products/Services...it would take a life time to exploit them all.

Choose ONE, and know this: IF you have the interest/desire then you could find many others seeking the same thing. And like squirrels collecting anything that resembles a nut, you'll find that most markets in the PARADE OF LIFE, NEVER become over saturated.

That does have potential-- huge potential. Finding relationships meets self improvement! You could include success stories, ratings for improvements made, an advice column, and so much more!

like any topic these days, it also has a lot of junk and crap products being pushed out by people who know didly squat, so if possible check everything before promoting it, to avoid the crap.

Not only is this a popular niche, it is also a perpetual niche. Nearly everyone is looking for a relationship at some point in his or her life, and many people are looking multiple times throughout. Most relationships don't last forever. It's like a friend of mine said once about dermatology: patients rarely die and are never cured.

I'd love to try this upsell or OTO and see if it works:

Main offer: Get Your Ex Back

Upsell: How to Violate the Protection Order Without Going to Jail

Or maybe try the other tack - a book about getting your ex back which is all about nasty little petty pranks you can pull, as in "you took half my stuff, now I'm going to get you back..."

Getting silly, time for more caffeine...:p

Hahahahahahaha! There's nothing you can do! I mean, aside from having them sent to jail for violating the restraining orders... Or maybe putting on a few hundred pounds, but who's going to do that?

Thankfully I haven't seen the psycho-ex in over two years, BUT... she still claims she's with me on her FB and MS pages, even claiming that we're married! We're not and never were. She's what lead me into this whole niche in the first place and in the three years I've been into this, I still haven't figured out what to do. So yeah.. Where's that product, dammit!

Not sure if those in the know are likely to "spill the beans" and really answer this question but here goes:

online dating site software, I tried to install and admin some of the free online dating software scripts... the best one I found turned out to be "not very customizable" without a higher degree of PHP editing knowledge than I possess

Has anyone tried Skadate and not felt soiled? I tried to get my money back but was turned down by both Skadate and Paypal

the free one that I did try was OsDate, I did manage to customize the look and feel but failed to be able to install add ons, open source software is updated by unpaid contributors- the one functionality that I did seek didn't work with the most up todate version. The whole thing turned out to be a time sucking nightmare.

What free or paid online dating site software/ script actually works? any recommendations?

Are you kidding me? Travis Sago is a millionaire, thanks to this niche, his 'Magic Of Making Up' continues to be one of the most popular products in Clickbank. Again this is just one example. Look at Eben's products and he has built a business empire around his Double Your Dating Products.

Travis was very smart when he launched his product because he provided training on how to succeed as an affiliate with his bum marketing course then provided his product for everyone to implement what he taught them.
