Best thing is to automate the process. If you heard about massive passive plugin? That would very helpful. It's not free but it's a heck lot of powerful.

Try to use some free plugin like traffic getting seo its free, and all in one seo all for free. Help you utilize your wordpress.

There are many methods you can choose just do a lot of research.

If you figured out some of the words are new to you do a search also in youtube. It helps!

Well it really depends what you plan to use the site for and the content u plan to put inside.

I believe wordpress is a great tool to get your website optimized and getting ranked. It will be well ranked with good content and targetted keyword (Ensure you have done your keyword research). Ensure you have your all-in-on SEO plugin installed and activate that plugin. That would help you out abit.

Now what can you do with your wordpress blog?
    1. Share games tips, and allow members to discuss via commenting
    2. Share videos that is related to the games you are promoting or sharing
    3. Sell tips or exclusive secrets to a specific games
    4. Build list, you might want to use the WP Autoresponder plugin for this. Then once you have your list, you can promote to them future products and earn more from there.

Ok, thats about it, let me know if you need further help on the setup.

    Cheers

Of course CMS systems like wordpress make adding content a trivial process, the search engine expect to find regular posts on blog sites, at least one a week, and will give more active sites a better ranking.

If you happened to buy a read made site (I have seen those game sites around), it be one of hundreds of copies with identical content, if that's the case, you would want to edit it and add a lot of original content to distinguish it in the search engines eyes.

The first thing you want to do after installation of Wordpress is go to the Settings category and click on the Permalinks tab. Click on the radio box for Custom and add the following without quotes "/%postname%/". This will change the url of each post from its default of ?=p# to ?=postname. So if your post title is "how to milk a cow", instead of the url being domainname.com/?p=123 it will be domainname.com/how-to-milk-a-cow

This makes it so better for SEO.

I noticed when I looked at my permalinks it was set to custom but this was there:
"/%postname.htm (exactly like that). Was that bad code and what is the difference vs /%postname%/ (without the beginning " and ending .htm) ?

Absolutely. And check the privacy settings. In this latest version of WP I believe I noticed the default is to have the site not available to search engines. You have to manually change that in the privacy settings.

Don't know much about WP but am beginning to enjoy making WP sites with one of the recent WSO's here which I feel is excellent.

I do know the games category is one of the worst categories to make money in as far as advertising and ppc revenue goes since the EPC pays so poorly and the CTR is usually real low too.
