The Best Secret Is To Create Your OWN System!

I'm sure a good majority of Warriors here are constantly searching for new systems to make money...but have you ever thought to develop your OWN system?

It's worked wonders for me, and I'm always striving to make new systems for even better results. Just take all the knowledge you have - and all the marketing courses you have access to - and brainstorm how to fuse it into something unique for yourself.

If you've bought enough of the stuff out there, you'll realize that lots of it won't work well for you unless you add your own twist. But why not take it a step further and combine aspects of multiple systems that you think will be effective for your own situation?

So in step-by-step form, the process could look like this:

1. Gather the pre-made systems that you think have potential.
2. Take notes on all of the "puzzle pieces" that you like.
3. Combine them and experience it for yourself!

I know that may sound incredibly vague, but it's extremely powerful if you're creative with it. There are virtually endless combinations that can be made from all the information that is available.

If you've done this before, feel free to share with everyone!

Your point is good and valid. The only thing I would add is that you do need to have tried and tested things for a while before you can offer your angle or method.
For example - On adsense sites I put links to amazon products on many posts/pages simply because they convert so well.

Well, before creating your own system, you have to experiment with already existing ones to see what works and what does not. Just as you can't create your own martial arts style until becoming a master at existing styles.

Good point, but not actually necessary. If you have marketing sense, you can tell how things will work just by reading them, without spending any length of time experimenting. I'd say your point would apply mainly to beginners with no experience.

Well. I tend to disagree. What you read is usually just that - theory. Things in real life work hardly as they should in theory. The same way you can't learn poker, swimming or driving by reading a manual without actually trying, the same way you can't learn internet marketing just by reading an ebook or listening to an "action course". I say the golden ratio is 25% reading, 75% doing.

        My opinion.

JD, I think you almost have it. Rather than trying to create a single system from scratch by the 'one from column A and two from column B' approach, I think it's better to start with a collection of proven systems and work from there.

          > A system for product creation
          > A system for generating marketing material
          > A system for finding affiliates
          > Etc.

Once you have them working, then it's time to start refining them by melding them together into your own system.

There are too many possible interactions with unintended results when you try to cherry pick bits of other systems. You might end up with the online equivalent of Johnny Cash's "One Piece At a Time, and Didn't Cost Me a Dime" Cadillac...

Besides, given human nature, many people would simply pick the bits with the least work for each part of their system rather than the ones which were most effective.

That's not exactly true. If you have marketing sense and you understand the concepts, it is very possible to put something together that works. Then you could test it, tweak it and sell the system. Just because you haven't done something before doesn't mean it won't work for you.

I will also say this...it is much BETTER to have done it first, but I don't think it's a "MUST."

Really? Cos I've been making money online since you "couldn't sell things" on the internet and I'm always amazed @ what actually works and what doesn't. I test things all the time that I think are going to be brilliant and they flop, and things that I think are going to suck and they rock.

This is simply not a blanket truth.

In fact, one of my partners owns a $100 million+ annual direct marketing company and he constantly tests things that fail. He has 30 years of experience and a barn full of sports cars that most people here are trying to "manifest through visualization".

Maybe that's why he has a $100 million company - he actually tests things before investing time and money in them with the assumption that it's going to be a complete success simply because "it makes sense on paper".

If business was simply "making sense on paper", then the accountants would run everything and there would be no real need for entrepreneurs or adventurers.

But in principle, I do agree with the idea of your first post... create your own system by amalgamating the successful parts of other systems. My entire business is built around that very concept. I build strategic level marketing and sales systems for business.

After reading a couple of ebooks down the road I have realized that this is the perfect formula in getting success in internet marketing. It kinda takes real effort and time though because you will be formulating a new system from those puzzle pieces but i think it will be more than worth it.

... and stick to the plan! I think this is the key. Even the best systems won't work if you don't give it enough time. Jumping from one method to another will do you no good, you will just waste a lot of time.

    Ya, I agree with you.

After years of research, I didn't link anything out there except list building.

There's a huge network of resale rights sites, and it occurred to me that it's a viral network unto itself. I'm just glad the guru's don't use it.

Oh yeah! Sounds like the "Bruce Lee Method".

Take the bits & pieces of methods out there that work for you & throw out the rest.

That's pretty much how it works out in this IM world once you start seeing some success.

Haha. You have to have access to marketing courses first, and preferably a good deal of marketing experience to understand how things work, before you'd have enough knowledge to create your own system. Doing a Google search won't do it for you; your own creativity will.

        Thanks everyone for your insights.
