How many of you will accept phone interview on the phone?

Hi, guys,

Just now, I come across somebody's MMO ebook. The idea is to create ebook by interviewing those GURUS in the niche.

I am a little curious. Is this method still viable today? How many of you guys interviewed or being interviewed by other ppl?

Thanks
David

On the phone is the *only* way I will accept a phone interview.

It does still work, and most I have done recently have been on Skype rather than a landlocked phone line.

    But a word of advice.

Take the time to do your homework and construct the questions you will ask. Give the person being interviewed the opportunity to edit your questions, but never require the person being interviewed to give you the questions. LOL

Believe it or not, it does happen where people talk me into the interview, then tell me that I need to give them the questions in order to make it happen.

Somehow, I never get around to giving them the questions they will ask me.

One mid level blogger reported getting quite a boost of traffic after starting a weekly podcast of interviews with fellow 'unnowns'.

I understand it's common to offer the interviewee a copy of the recording as well as cross-promotions and links.

Never tried this method for the MMO niche before because it's really over used IMO.. but I have built products this way in other smaller niches and it worked out pretty well.

As for me personally, I suppose I'd be open to an interview over the phone or skype so long as it wasn't lame. I'd probably ask to see the questions in advance to make sure they did their homework and it wasn't just some interview mill trying to crank out massive amounts of crap.

My answer would be the same as this!

AND I would suggest that you stick to other niches - not MMO.

the idea of a daily or weekly podcast would work - if you stuck to it for awhile
