How do I make this site profitable?

My site relaxingnoise.com hasn't made me more than $1.99 in over a year. All my traffic comes from search engines I've tried selling stress relief ebooks and audio files and not a freaking penny. I get around 30 uniques a day.

I tried recently giving away my ebooks for free if they filled out a survey but CPAlead froze my account for no reason, I also added adsense but it only shows public service ads, what should I do?

Dave, you have a good idea here. I was actually going to also focus on this niche. So I'll share my thoughts on this. Get your stuff on youtube and other video sites. I posted a similar track on youtube and generated over 1000 leads. If you title your tracks as a solution to a problem, i.e. "anxiety relief" or something like that, a person having trouble going to bed, will search youtube and find your video.

Also, you could upload some of your tracks on torrent sites to spread it around and stuff like that. Check out sites like soundclick.com as well. You can sell the tracks directly on sites like that.

I think one of the biggest players in this industry is

    I hope this helps bro.

Sell the site, try building an email list, or ditch it and move on

It's been said here a million times before but it's all in the list. I prefer to qualify my list subscribers as buyers before I even sign them up. For instance, I do a lot of PPC to get people to my site. I make sure my ads always have buying keywords included so I'm not wasting money paying for clicks made by freebie hunters. Some warriors might disagree with me on this, saying I could be leaving money on the table, but I like having a higher sales conversion rate from my list. You can't beat a list full of highly targeted buyers.

I don't want to build a list because I hate it myself when I get emails from people. I would never in a million years buy something someone emailed me. I understand the concept but I prefer to take another route other than emailing people every week about offers.

I took a look at your website, and didn't see any compelling reason to stay. It appears that it is a landing page for something. Your copy seems more intent on providing features as opposed to benefits; features are not what sell.

Basically what I see is a headline saying * noise is good, and then you try to sell it with no other explanation of why your customer should buy.

If you get a chance, take a look at The Robert Collier Letter Book for some good examples of copy that sells. It will most likely enable you to see the problems with your site.

Another resource I found to have some really good information is the Gary Halbert Newsletters (free site.) He has numerous examples of copy that sells.

If you can afford it, you might hire a good copywriter to rewrite your page copy.

If you can't afford it, you might put out a request for a review in the copywriting forum.

Another suggestion would be to take a look at the sales pages of your competitors to find out what they are doing.

    Hope this helps!

    Marvin

Hi Dave. I AM in this industry (sort of) and have enjoyed success in my 10 years doing it. I looked at your site and you have 2 main problems. You have a weak headline (with zero positioning) and no compelling offer.

The reason you're not making sales is because people may be getting confused when landing on your page. Your current headline does not compel visitors.

Either hire a copywriter, or rewrite the entire thing.

How do I find someone to rewrite the whole site? Also how do I find someone with a proven track record of creating profitable sales pages?
