What is the average earning per article on a blog per month? I'm still in doubt wether is should use adsense or build a list. My blog primaryly revolves around: how to fix .... . So people are looking for a specific fix to the problem, and might not be repeat visitors

Try both AdSense and build a mailing list.

Also, promote relevant "for Dummies" books on the different pages of your site, through Amazon.

Why don't you do them both?

However, I would highly recommend to build a list. It is really much more easier to make thousands with a list than rather using adsense. And also it is much easier to build a list and make the same ammount of money than with adsense.

It will be really easy to grow your list when you will have about 500-1000 subscribers (you can start doing adswaps), but it will be hard to get your first 500 subscribers.

If you don't know what an adswap is go to gettingstartedfast.com (free)

The average earning per article depends how much will you be paid for one click. Probably you can be paid from several cents to several dollars, so select your keywords carefully.
