Hi guys and gals,
Just came across this superb free offer. I downloaded my copy, hurry up and secure your copy of the Ad-Aware Pro. All you need to do is give you email address and you will be sent instructions on where to download and license key valid for one year.

Get a 1-year Ad-Aware Pro license for free | The Cheapskate - CNET News

Ad Aware is one of the best softwares for PCs running Windows to fight against all kinds of viruses, malware and just general "bad stuff" that you can get from Internet.

Apparently this is only valid until Dec. 28th so hurry up.

Original article from the link above is here:

Howdy, peeps! I'm taking a much-needed vacation this week, but even a steady stream of mojitos served poolside by smiling island beauties can't keep me from sharing sweet deals. (Today and Thursday, anyway.)

This one comes from none other than CNET: Today only, you can get Lavasoft Ad-Aware Pro Internet Security (1-year license) absolutely free. That's a $29.95 value, and the only requirement is an e-mail address. (The offer says it's "for CNET members only," but all I did was supply my name and address.)

Ad-Aware Pro offers robust protection against all manner of Internet threats, from viruses and spyware to keyloggers and rootkits. It can also scrub the malware from an infected system.

The free version of Ad-Aware has long been one of CNET's most popular downloads. The Pro version adds a boatload of extra features, not the least of which is technical support.

CNET hasn't actually reviewed this version, but PC Magazine has: they gave it 4.5 stars and an Editors' Choice award.

To get the software and your license, click the link in the second paragraph, and then click Buy Now. Enter your name and e-mail address as instructed, then just follow the prompts. You should receive two e-mails (mine arrived instantly): one from TrialPay, another from Lavasoft. The former includes a link to a download page that also contains your activation key. The latter has the info you need to access Lavasoft's support site.

I'll admit that I tend to choose free security tools for my PCs, but that's only because, well, I'm cheap! Given the option, I'd gladly run a pro-level utility--especially when I can get it free of charge.

CNET's offer is good until tomorrow, Dec. 28, at 6 a.m. PT. I don't see anything indicating you actually have to download or install the software by then, so you could always keep this until, say, your current security-software subscription runs out, then switch over. Whatever works for you.

Great Bargain, looks like you have to sign up with Cnet first.
