I have a Thanks button... At least until I use em all up again...

If you see the Edit button on one of YOUR posts, you will not have a Thanks button on the same post, as you cannot thank yourself... That is like mental masturbation...

You should only see the Thanks button on someone else's posts, not your own...

If you cannot see the Thanks button on other peoples' posts, log out of the site and log back into it...

When I have problems with this forum I log out and log back in. That usually clears things up. If you're using Firefox, having problems with the forum is not uncommon.

If that doesn't do it, you may have to ask the help desk about it. I've never heard of the thanks button disappearing except when a person uses up their allotment.

If you can see other folks 'thanks' buttons, and they can see yours, then there really isn't a problem is there? That's exactly how it's supposed to work.

You might want to try actually hitting the button instead of moaning at the folks who are trying to explain it to you.

That is actually a good answer.

It may seem dumb, but try it before you throw it out.

Have you ever noticed all those people complaining about 503 errors... This answer fixes that problem...

The edit button appeared out of left field and
has been there for around 2 weeks.

  I think you get banned from giving thanks. I am not sure. try logging at warrior on different browsers, mozilla, IE, thunderbird, google. If it still, look at your messegas on email, maybe there is a infraction notice about giving thanks to anyone. Hope i help

You're only allotted X number of thanks per day, or perhaps per 24 hour period. If you've given a lot of thank today your button will disappear. This is only temporary. It will return within 24 hours.

This forum has been acting up tonight (for me at least) and I've been seeing some unusual behavior here and there, so your thanks button issue may just be a glitch that will clear up very soon.

He was robbed of his Thanks button by some armed men.

Sorry, you have lost your button for good. Buy another shirt that has complete buttons.

So, I would advise you to leave the forum since they have robbed you of your most important button, the "thanks" button.

It happened to me a few times. Sometimes, I notice that I can't see a Thanks button anywhere, although I don't give a lot of Thanks. Maybe it's a bug or something.

You may want to delete your temporary internet files. It is always possible you have a screwed up cached graphic which is throwing everything out of kilter....

Now if you need access to a DONATE button... I can give you some really good advice.

I'm shocked that after 34 posts, Barry was the first to say this.

When things are screwed up on a website for you and you only, it usually either caused by cache or internet security software that's attempting to "keep you safe."

Of course, there are other things that will do it, but more times than not, it's one of these two things. So, make your life easy and troubleshoot by doing the easiest things first.
