Warrior Forum banner ads.

Just a quick question about advertising on the forum. I looked in the FAQ section for advertising and found the bit about $100/day. So my question is: Does it work? Can anyone tell me what kind of response they get from the ads.

I'm looking at buying advertising on sites like Warrior Forum but of course it would be good to have some idea if it produces traffic. I looked up the numbers for the site and they look pretty good but that doesn't really tell you a lot about the level of interest or commitment of the visitor etc.

Was hoping some here could relate their experience.

  • I can send you some feedback if you PM me your email address. I have some stats from a business partner who ran a banner ad.

( I din't want to quote stats here as it may be misleading for an unrelated product)

It's worked out very well for me. Mine isn't running today, but I ran it every day for over a week and still run it periodically and it was/is a profitable ad. I imagine it has much to do with the product you are selling. I've clicked on some of the ads, and some I have no interest in.

Yeah I guess that's really what I'm looking for is click through numbers.

Can't help you there. Didn't bother to track it. It made me money and that's the only number I really care about.

So how can you know if it came from your ad?

The week I ran it ... it was the only ad I had running. I don't advertise in any other forum. When I run it now, I get a lot of pms ... leads... asking questions about it, etc. When it's not running, not much. The first week when it was running I made thousands in sales. I stopped it just before Christmas for the holidays and the sales slowed down. Now when I run it for a day, I immediately get a bunch of pms and questions on the WSO. When I'm not running it, not so much.

Since most of the sales require work from me, I don't run it constantly now so I don't get backed up.

              Very Interesting.

I notice you have a pretty good size ad in your sig. Do you notice any activity from that?

Not a lot. The leads roll in when I run the big ad.

Got to mention this. I ran a different ad for a day or two that went to my site instead of my WSO and it didn't convert. Changed the ad ... made it simpler and linked it to the WSO and the difference was dramatic. Linking to the WSO makes a big difference.

i think they are great for driving traffic but i don't think that the conversion rate is high. most of the visitors in forums like this are experts so they just visit your site but don't buy anything for sure.

I don't think most of the visitors in this forum are experts. As a matter of fact, it seems that only a few are experts and a lot are trying to get started or get their first big break. I think those banner ads work better than most people may believe.

Yep ... I surely wouldn't pay $100 per day for an ad that wasn't working.

I often see the same ads day after day, so I'm presuming that the conversion rate is high enough to make it worth it. I'd say very few people that visit this forum are experts. Even if you ARE an expert in your own particular area, surely you'd still invest in learning more, or buy services etc.

I've been trying for a week to get a spot but every time I visit the page there's none available . I'm looking forward to trying it out though.

This is all very educational and BTW I would agree that most visitors here are here because they trying to get started in IM.

OK now a totally Noob question. What is WSO?

Still sorting out a lot of the lingo.

It is a Warrior Special Offer in the WSO thread
Once you join the War Room, you can post WSO's, which are a unique product that you create. Cannot be PLR reworked or Master Resale Rights stuff ... must be something you create or pay someone to create for you. Costs $40 to post the thread and $40 to bump it back to the top when it reaches page 3.

I have yet to test out the ad as I was waiting for January to come (I have been on vacation) but from what I have heard, the conversions vary majorly. It really depends on what you want. If you sell something for $7, you probably won't get much from the ad, but the point is to build trust in your niche. So even though you may have a 5% conversion, and made only $35 from running the banner ad (that's a $65 loss), you need to think to yourself, are those 5 people worth it?

So all in all, it relys on what type of product or service you have to offer. My service relates to building websites (as you can see in my signature) and I do a lot of testing with it. So even if I didn't make a single dime off of using the banner ad, it would be considered a success It's all about getting people to notice you

It all depends on the product you are selling.

Interesting. So there's definitely a trust factor involved when purchasing through the WSO's, then.

You don't suppose the ad change made much difference, if any?

How about the Warrior Forum TEXT Ads at the bottom of the forum,
does anyone have any feedback on those? I'm curious...seems like a
pretty decent price -$40 for a week...but I know that I rarely look at
        them so I'm curious.

I've been debating on experimenting but this is a great thread to get
some info from those who have already tried them :-)

        Thanks!

I don't normally pay any attention to the bottom text ads on other sites, myself. At WF, though, I actually do look at them occasionally, and have even clicked on some and bought, so they obviously work, at least here they do.
