Can you check how many backlinks a blogger blog can have?

I have been backlinking a bit to drive more people to my blog, which is in my signature. but when I go to a backlink checker site, it says I have 0 backlinks. Am I doing it wrong? I even got a .edu backlink supposedly, I created an account and put my blog in the website field. I also used this tool that added my site to around 2500 sites. But i am still only getting 1-2 visitors per day if that. I add new stuff every couple of days as well.

Exactly wait for them to index your site it takes a while for them to find new backlinks it does not happen overnight be patient. A tip for you is link to only legitimate sites. A tool that adds your site to 2500 sites is probably not good. Nothing but worthless spam links. Do it manually for a while and link to related known sites then you can start outsourcing your link-building through Fivver. Good luck!

huh, well I thought it might be good because the link for the tool (IMT I think its called) was posted on these forums and the guy who built the tool got a lot of praise for building it from fellow warriors.

I tested that tool last week.

How can I say this nicely???

        I can't....

        It is a junk tool...

It creates links to your site from 2500+ Whois Info sites. Those rarely get crawled by Google, and when they do, they seldom deliver traffic to you.

I ran this last week (9 days ago) to test its effectiveness. I ran it on a brand new domain with no links and no track record.

Yes, the 2500+ links are there -- I have seen them.

But 9 days later, Google still does not acknowledge the existence of my new test site.

The only way to know they value of a lot of this stuff is to do a real test, and there is no better test than a brand new domain.

Contrast that to using Ping Services, I can usually get a site crawled by Google in two days.

You're working way too hard. Just make sure your blogger posts are sprinkled naturally with targeted key words, and it gets indexed and ranked within days. Jeesh!

Its never good in my opinion to get 2500 backlinks in one shot. Aim for quality not quantity.

    HELLO !!!!

Does anyone actually consider the request before throwing answers at the person asking the question?

    Seriously folks.

If that is all you can offer for help, Stop Helping!!!!

Everyone thus far has told you to make sure your site is indexed before you do anything....

    1. How do they expect you to get indexed, if there are no links pointing to your site that Google will see?

    2. What makes them so sure you are not already indexed?

    I checked:

    site:http://pcjargon.blogspot.com/

Google has already indexed 9 of your pages. The last time they indexed your home page one week ago today.

    Okay, here is the deal...

Unless the links you have had created for you are on pages that Google has already crawled, they are not going to count those links.

I just checked with a friend. Google Analytics can be added to a Blogger blog, by inserting the code into a Text/HTML Widget.

If you have Google Analytics on your blog, through Google Webmaster Tools, then you can see how many links that Google actually sees for your blog. Because Google only shows a slight sampling of links to the public.

In my case, they show 25k links on one of my sites in the Google Webmasters Tools, but one 300 to the public by using Google Search.

According to Yahoo Site Explorer, you so far have one link to your blog, from your Signature File in the Warrior Forum:

There are NO LIMITS to the number of links you can have to any website, including one hosted on Blogger.com

But, in order for Google to actually count them, they must reside on a page that is in Google's index with link popularity attached to it and no NOFOLLOW tags on the links.

Just keep building links. Diversify where you get those links. And keep moving forward.

Think of each link as a doorway to your website. You want to offer as many doors as possible to your websites.

Keep building those links, on the premise that Google does not exist. As you find more links on sites that can send you traffic, you will find Google paying closer attention to your website and counting more of your links.

In the end, it is about traffic from anywhere you can find it. So build links with that goal in mind. And don't worry about Google, because the more links you build out, the more Google is going to be interested in looking at your site and potentially sending more of its traffic to you as well.

yea dude your links is coming. I just hit the front page of google about 3 days ago for the keyword "how to get rid of lower belly fat" Im sitting at #9 as of now using a blogger blog. I was on page 2 for about a week, then my site suddenly vanished. I thought I got sandboxed by Google because I was using that Free Traffic System to help build backlinks to my site. And I thought I was building them to fast. Anyways after about a week my site came back even stronger, sitting on page one. So they're coming dude just be patient.
