Ave 25 Clickbank Sales/mo to 0 Sales?!?

Hello Warriors!

I've been a member here for quite some time now but I don't write a post often.
I'm here to ask for some help or opinion on what might be happening in my Clickbank account or website.

I usually average 25 sales a month promoting 2 products in Clickbank. But since December 6 I haven't had a sale even though my sites are still where they are.

I checked my Clickbank analytics starting on December 7:
374 Order form impression count
30 Order form submit count

A week ago I tried using a different clickbank account and had 1 sale immediately after changing it. But after that nothing again so I used the original account again.

I have checked several times if my hoplinks are ok by trying the order page and still see my clickbank ID at the bottom of the page everytime.

I've read about Clickbank hijacking but there's no proof about it.

Also, do you think scripts in my hosting account have any effect to this?
Late November, I started using LinkEvo and Backlink Energizer and put it in a subdomain of another website hosted in the same hostgator account.

Any information would be very much appreciated.

There's apparently a Clickbank order-form submission processing problem at the moment. There are 8 or 9 other very recent threads asking this same question (and variations of it). They do contain some helpful information and suggestions on the subject.

    Thanks for the reply Alexa.
I sent Clickbank an email telling them about this.
Hope they will give a positive reply soon.

Good luck! Call me a skepchick but my guess is that they'll (eventually) say it "must be seasonal".

Don't expect to much from Clickbank. They'll probably say that it's something on your side and that you should check your links etc...

I had this issue many times with a few of my accounts, there's nothing that you can do about it if everything is ok on your side.

It's really frustrating especially now that I have just spent the past 2 months building backlinks on one of the sites to boost its rankings.

It can be desperately frustrating.

Have a read through the other recent, related threads. There are some suggestions in them. Not trivial ones, and not guaranteed ones, but they can help.

I just found Christian Fox's DRASTIC click bank sales drop thread.
I guess I will have to try to contact the vendor like he did.
Now I know that I should never put all my eggs in one basket.
    Thanks for the reply guys.

Clickbank really has trouble sometimes. Makes me think twice about using them as a vendor. I want my affiliates to get their money! Haven't used them yet, but it just seems so easy to use them from a product owners point of view as so much is taken care of for you.

Possible solution is to offer your power affiliates an optional private tracker to circumvent Clickbanks periodic douchebaggery. This is a real problem that I think most of us have experienced before. Every once in a while clickbank just up and sucks, and the boat loads of traffic I drive at my sites ends up being useless to my bottom line.

My sales are extremely off since about mid December. Even though I wasn't gonna bother complaining (again), here I am to join the other frustrated folks. It really gets tiresome knowing that every once in a while I'm losing money because clickbank can't seem to fly straight. Holiday traffic doesn't usually convert all that well on some sites, but for me, the last 2 weeks of each year has been historically very lucrative traffic, so I'm especially pi$$ed.

I haven’t noticed any issues with sales and my account is 2 years old, but just to let you know that when someone clicks the PayPal button on the order form it redirects to another order form asking for:

    -Your location
    -Zip or Postal Code
-Then a payment button for PayPal payment

This counts as a order for submit, even though they haven’t submitted payment Click Bank analytics counts it as a order for submit.

Hope this makes sense and may explain why your stats show 30 orders submits but no sales, some people just click things for the sake of clicking or curiously.

Also, you may have a product that just doesn’t have a demand this time of year. It may begin to pickup after the new year.

I just received this reply from Clickbank support:

    -------
    CBCSR(Eileen H): CLOSED: 2010-12-30 01:49:28 PM
A recent change in functionality to analytics caused the order form submit count
to be slightly inflated due to price calculation refreshes and test orders being
counted. Price calculation refreshes occur when the order form automatically
updates the price due to a change in a taxable location. Technically speaking
these are posts behind the scenes, but previously these were not counted. Test
orders are detected when a credit card number starts with 222222 and these were
previously not counted as a submit. We are in the process of fixing the issue and
should have a solution in the next week. Data in the past will also be fixed.

    Happy Holidays!

I don't think their testing is the problem.
Ever since I started promoting this product, I always have a sale for every 100 or so unique visitors I get to my site.
And since my backlinking has increased my rankings I already get more than
a hundred visitors daily as per google analytics.

I'm partly relieved that I'm not the only one experiencing this.
However, does anybody have any idea as to how long this dry spell will go on?

Just would like to give an update.
I think Clickbank has "fixed" itself now.
I had sales for the past 3 consecutive days.
Hopefully, Clickbank won't act up again and sales will be recorded properly.

I don't even bother with Clickbank anymore, going from 200 sales a month to 10 sales the next month has been too consistent in my experience to even bother with promoting stuff through CB.

Yep, I've noticed the issue for the last 8 weeks, which is when my sales started to dip, yet my CTR has been consistent. Sure, there are others that say their sales are up. That may be true, but something is wrong with mine. Either all the planets are lined up or there's an issue. I've been doing this a long time and I can tell the periodic "issues on my end" from the issues on the other end.

My focus has always been spread around, but I'm seriously rethinking whether to push any traffic that way at all.

Hopefully they fix it and fix it fast. I like CB, but this is frustrating.

This is the first time I experienced this.
Will be starting to promote products outside Clickbank from now on.
But I can't abandon CB since 2 of my major sites are right now are specifically made for CB products.
I'm just praying that it's all fixed up and will not happen again.
    Lesson learned.
