Help with Firefox and WF...?

Hi,
I couldn't find where to put this so here goes.
When I enter my message in the message window, it all runs together - no paragraph breaks. I'm sure it's because I need to make my posts HTML to make that work. But that's too cumbersome.
I just started using Firefox a few weeks back and this is the first time I've noticed this problem. Now I know a lot of you do use Firefox, so do you know why my messages don't space and why the WYSIWYG icons don't work?
Do you know if there's a setting somewhere that I have to make? No problem with IE, but I want to use Firefox because it's faster.
Your help is appreciated.
Sylvia

I have Firefox and it works perfect.

Have you tried to choose HTML in the WYSIWYG editor?

I was looking for that, actually, but couldn't find it. All I see is the WYSIWYG menu with the smilies, font settings, links, and some code buttons, but no option to switch to or from HTML. This is in the advanced message page. Sylvia

    Hi Sylviad,
If you have the WYSIWYG enabled in your WF Profile then you should see this
In the upper right corner of the editor.

    Have a Great Day!

I've switched to IE. Probs with computer, so I can't check Firefox at the moment, but I do see the a/A symbol in IE.

When I post this, I'll see if the spacing is right in IE without hitting that icon.

      Sylvia

PS: OK. It seems to work with IE. Have to shut down and restart computer to see if Firefox will open and test it again there.

      Thanks for your help.

Hi again, Well, I got Firefox to open today. Here I am in the message editor. When I try to click any of the icons in the WYSIWYG window, they do not work. Like adding bold to text. The switch editor mode icon you mentioned doesn't work either. I suppose it's probably safe to say the problem is with my installation? Maybe it'll help if I reinstall Firefox? I didn't try any of those icons when I was using IE yesterday. . Sylvia

        Editing with IE:

Yep the icons all work and I can switch to different editor modes just fine with IE.

        Para spacing works too.

I have been using FF since I knew about it. It's my best. And I don't have any problem with it.

Well, I'm at a loss. I uninstalled Firefox from my system and reinstalled it, and the icons in this message window still do not work. I cannot change fonts, add smilies or switch the editor window. So whatever is the problem, I have no idea how to fix it or what else I can do. My profile is set to show the WYSIWYG editor. It shows in EI and switches just fine in IE, but not in Firefox. And when I post I know all my paragraph breaks will be gone. The thing is, this window is not showing any special formatting codes until I reopen a message to edit it. It seems that for the Forum at least I'll have to stick with IE. Too bad. I'm kinda starting to like Firefox. IE is so slow now that they've "sped it up". Sylvia

BTW - the smilie is created with code - not with the icon. Also, when I go to edit a message as I tried to do to add this PS, I discovered I cannot cannot switch to Go Advanced or Save the message.

        Sylvia -

        I think it's a forum glitch - not firefox.

I've had it happen several times - sometimes it lasts a few hours - other times a few days. Other members have also reported it.

It's a pain - but it goes away before long.

I've also run into the problem with firefox.

I just close the browser and start over again.

It's an odd glitch. I haven't had it happen with chrome or IE.

Oh wow. Thanks Kay and Jasonmorgan. I hate when that happens and you waste so much time trying to figure out what you need to do. I was just looking in all the tools and other settings in Firefox and couldn't find anything. Somewhere in my travels I did come across some message stating that some features might not be accessible with Firefox. Wish I could remember where I saw that, whether it was through some Firefox message or some Forum notice. I figured, why are so many marketers using Firefox then, if this is a problem, and so many are right here on the forum? Well, if this is some temporary glitch, I guess I won't worry about it. I'm pretty sure it was working fine before. I believe I've posted since I started using Firefox a few weeks back. I'll have to really check my spelling and grammar before posting, then, because I now know I won't be able to go back and edit. But I can add these: - at least for those that I know the code. Sylvia

Avatar is courtesy of Michael Mayo - he's created several for me. I think they make me look hot

The worst part about the format problem when you have it (as you do at the moment) is some wiseacre always tells you "it would help if you use paragraphs". Gee - ya think?

I've never had it last longer than 3-4 days... 2-3 is more likely. I've always thought it was a forum glitch.

Hm. Well if it is the installation, it must be directly related to my computer, because I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox from scratch, and I still can't used the icons. It's still using the code editor, although I don't get to see the code until I either preview before posting or actually post and reopen. And then I cannot edit anything. The edit window won't allow me to save any changes I make.
I'm adding break codes to separate paragraphs, but it's a pain.
          Kay, it's been 30, 31, 1, 2, days now and it still doesn't work.

My computer has been acting up a bit lately, so it's highly likely that's where the problem lies. Been having weird little things happen since I upgraded McAfee.
So, I guess I'm SOL... until I fix my computer or switch back to IE.
