Interesting. Amazon products were a possibility that I was going to look into this year. This seems like something I could test on multiple sites and niches and see how it converts in each one.

I was wondering when you use this template.

It is used on a site that is just for the product? Like a product comparison site.

Or is it used in a blog to review just a single product?

Just wondering. I sell amazon through review blogs and am currently getting about a 5% conversion. Anything to increase that would great.

  The sites I used them on are broad niche sites.
  
  For example, one site is a laptop site that has numerous posts but I sprinkle the reviews in among the posts. Like, make 3 general posts about laptops then throw in a review post.
  
  Another site was exercise equipment, same deal. And yet another was on perfume.
  
  I did not put them on micro niche sites.

That's a nice concept. I'd like to know if this can be used with affiliate plugins where multiple products are listed on a particular page for instance, if my niche is 'expensive hand bag' and I want to write a review using that format, how will it go? Judging by the fact that there will be obviously more than 3 or so products for that keyword.

Worked well on the laptop site.

I mentioned that you only get 4.75 hours battery life but this can be remedied by purchasing an external battery pack and charger.

Of the 8 sales this month, 5 bought either one or both.

It's very profitable! Do a quick search on here, using "amazon associates" or "amazon" in your search strings and you will find some great threads that will be excellent models to follow.

What I like about this template is it looks like it is also a good fit for hubpages as it defines value filled information that people would want.

This template can be used a number of ways and you don't just have to stay locked and loaded with the initial template. You can add to it in order to avoid being just one of the crowd.

Spot on Sloop.
I also use it on a 2 of my adsense sites with good effect. CTR is usually high. I guess the beauty of it is that no section is overly long. The reader breezes through each section increasing your chances of an action.

Reviews posted on the product page are generally a good indicator of the popularity of the product.

A product with 300 reviews tends to be mroe popular than a product that only has 5.

i'm implementing this method now, so this comes still on time!

i'm sure a product with 300 reviews is more popular than a product with only 5, but taking into account that they are positive reviews, because if there are 300 negative ones against 5 positive i would not be too sure, but anyway, who would want to promote such a terrible product? lol!

Hi Patrick,
I am testing this out at the moment. Previously I only used text links following advice from warrior PaulaC (search her posts, they are gold) but wanted to test this method out. As I have only used this way for just over 6 weeks, I reckon it is to early to make an educated decision on which works best, also the xmas period skews results anyway.

Below are 4 people who are in the stratosphere as far as making money with Amazon is concerned. It was these 4 guys that are responsible for me hitting 3K plus a month from Amazon since August. They all have varying ways of doing it but the beauty is you can mix and match. While all 4 are incredible, start with Erica,or Soujourn as she is known. She rocks

Thanks for the template.

With this template, where exactly do you put the H1, H2 and H3 tags so the keyword is put in them?

In wordpress the keyword should be your title so there is no need for H1 tags for it.
I am not a fan of putting keywords in H2 or H3 in wordpress, different from html pages where I will put the keyword in H1 and underneath a subtitle in H2 or H3 with a variation in it.
For example, if your keyword is: Alera Nico High-Back Swivel Chair Review

(h1 tag here)Alera Nico High-Back Swivel Chair Review(/h1 tag here)
(h2 tag here)Why Does The Swivel Chair From Alera Nico Get Rave Reviews(/h2 tag here)

Sprinkle the keyword throughout the post and variations of it.
Put the following in the article

Alera Nico High Back Swivel Chair
Alera Nico Chair
Swivel Chair from Alera Nico
etc
etc

Thanks for the template Craig. This is just what I'm looking for in doing mini-reviews for other related products in addition to longer reviews for the main product category. There's lots of good uses for this. You can easily adjust and change some things to suit your specific needs.

This will also work with clickbank product review. There was a post about this for clickbank product basically outlining the same thing. It is a very solid method for any one to use. I will have to wait to test it on on my amazon sites once I see the Quinn vetod hb 3659. If he does not then I am pretty much done with amazon until I have an extra 500 to set up a LLC out of state.

I dont put my site name but the name of the seller.

Most products on Amazon are sold by individual store owners that use Amazon as a hub. Check out a listing and you will see it says over on the right hand side of the page

"more buying choice"
meaning that multiple sellers sell that item. I simply write who the seller is. You can check out their rating etc. This is usually handy info as Amazon would not deal with a mob with a poor rating.

You can put a price range in but not the exact price. You may have noticed that the price of most items rises and falls from day to day. Only marginally sometimes but it does.

This is a good layout. How many photos of the item should be used in relation to the text. For instance, you have a 6 paragraph review...500-600 words...2 photos or one?

Only 1 photo wrapped around the text in 99% of cases.

Depends if more photos would be needed to get them to click over to Amazon

Very similar to how I do mine (structure wise), although I tend to do slightly longer reviews (800+ words). I guess it depends on the niche.

What's everybodys take on amazon plugins?

I found this one, I'm not affiliated, which looks pretty cool, WP Zon Builder*|*WordPress Amazon Plugin for the Amazon Affiliate

I'm sort of lured by the ease of use, and speed that you can put up a site, with lots of products.

Do any of you guys use these, or do you think it's better to keep it all non plugin-ie.

I might have to try this template on couple of my sites. A good part of my sites have very long reviews (around 1000 words) and I have quite a low "time spent on page" stat however the CTR is not that bad so I'm wondering if people don't get turned off by a long review.

Do you mind sharing your average CTR?
