Importance of the correct call to action.

I am still amazed sometimes at how easy it is to screw up an article or a resource box. I have been getting into a new niche and writing articles to test it. I am averaging about 40 - 50 views with a 35 - 40% CTR without targeting any keywords.

I wrote an article a couple of days ago at EZA. Within the first 12 hours of being approved it had over 100 views and no URL clicks.

Went back and checked it. I forget to include a strong call to action in the resource box. I feel pretty stupid now.

Trying to decide if I want to edit the article or write a new one.

I would edit it, myself: it's not going to bring traffic (unless syndicated, I suppose, but even then maybe not, if EZA's readers are anything to judge by?) sitting there without clicks. EZA has changed its system and now normally re-approves resource-box edits within 1 working day and without taking the article offline to do so, if that helps. But why not write another one, too?

IMO writing a new one might be best, but not today. this is the last day of their current HAHD and they are going to be swamped with all the peopl who did not get their articles in ahead of time. Plus it is New Year's Eve day in Wisconsin and most folks are going to want to go home rather than reading your article. Wait until Monday.

Call to actions in articles are probably one of the most undervalued part of article writing for traffic!

How about you edit the resource box and write another article
