I made close to $2000 in December alone. It's certainly doable. Find products you can rank for, build your site, and promote, promote, promote!

I prefer products over $100 that have multiple reviews >= 4 stars. Also, it is a numbers game. Through my network of sites and web 2.0 properties, I see 500-1000 visitors per day. Without significant traffic, don't expect to see lots of money.

There are even some cases where I own 3 or 4 of the top 10 spots on Google for certain products. This is the advantage of using multiple sites/properties.

Thanks again for that tip. I`d like to know if you can post the same article you write for article directories to web 2.0 properties.
          thanks

The question is, what value can you bring that will allow you to make $1,000 per month with Amazon (or anywhere else)? Find you what you are good at and see if there is a way to monetize it.

Depending on the purpose, I may post the same article to multiple directories/sites. I use some sites for backlinks only and I use others for traffic generation. If I'm looking for traffic, I ensure the article is unique with a strong call to action. If I'm only looking for a backlink, I'll use the same article that I submit to other directories/sites.

However, I never submit the same article that I use on my site to the directories.

All that said, I do make use of several key Wordpress plugins/tools that automate at least a few parts of what I am doing.

              Ok thanks.
How many backlinks do you usually create per time? and How often do you create backlinks - daily or weekly?

-Could You Please Send Me A list of sites you use for backlinks only?...I`d really appreciate it.

I agree, Amazon Affiliates is extremely hot for IM. Just play in competitive niches.

Ok...I kinda get an Idea...but hw do I select products that are closely related and sell well?

It's definitely possible. I made about $300 in 2009 and in December 2010 alone I hit nearly $1400 in commissions.

Some ideas from me on what works:
-Think about what products people need more info on before they buy.
-Write "value adding" reviews: don't just use a plugin to throw up Amazon content on a blog. Write a human review about the product. What's good about it? What's not so good? What do other customer's say? Why is it better than other similar products?
-Include technical details if relevant - have a look online and see if you can find the manuals or instruction books. If it's a "flat pack" item that needs assembly then write about how long it really takes, and what equipment/tools they'll need.

    Best of luck to you

Please tell me what criteria you employ when selecting your products.
      Thanks

Something I like to do is to SEO new products coming out and then write reviews on them.

Me and my partner Kelly Felix grabbed up the product names of a bunch of 3d TVs as dotcoms and got them ranked quickly. Easy money.

There are many ways to do this.

You can put loads of articles on ezine, or create Hub pages, or make your own website to promote the items.

I am currently using my own websites to get ranked well in SERPs, check out this thread

        good luck to your efforts!

Well simple maths says that whatever you did to make that $100....simply repeat the process 10 times over.

If that came from 1 site......then build another 9.
If it was from 10 articles.....write / outsource another 90.

The old adage is true.....find what works and then 'Rinse and repeat!'

Good luck and enjoy the money when it comes

This is a great goal, and I wish you well with it. I fear that the most evidently popular products like XBox, PS3 etc will have massive competition. I tried some Amazoning in the run up to Christmas and had no success at all. As with all things, I suspect you will need hard work and a lot of consistent effort to be successful.
