Text to Blog Commenting?

Hi all,

Is there a way that people can post blog comments via text messaging from their cell phones? Obviously, it would a short comment, but I'm just wondering if this is possible and how you'd set your blog up to allow people to post blog comments via text message?

Also, if they can do this, how would the poster be identified (i.e. a name vs. a number) other than the texter using up valuable characters to include their name?

Just wondering...

Thanks,
Michelle

You'd need a SMS to WordPress Comment plugin and I don't know if there is such a thing.

But, if they can read your blog on their cell, why can't they comment using the comment form instead of having to send a text message?

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

They could. I'm just thinking of how often you have to zoom in though. Drives me nuts.

And yes, I know I need whatever plugin that makes my site mobile... Guess that's all I need.

I was thinking of running a contest, though. My blog would be the hub. It just seems like it would easier to text a comment or entry rather than type in a URL and post a comment. Texting just seems faster.

Maybe I'm thinking too much. (Again.)
