The at home IMer and great ranch land

Okay so I'm making more money and I've always had my eye on some good farm/ranch land.

Working from home is better than ever nowadays and getting away from the misery of the cities is something not out of reach.

Having your own spread, be it 10 acres on up to 400 acres is not so far a pipe dream nowadays. A few years ago you would have had to pay an arm and a leg but with the real estate crash there are some awesome deals to be had.

I've been working from home for over 25 years now. I work in comics so I draw comics either at home or at an office but mostly from home. As long as I have FedEx and a great phone line I'm good to go. Now that I'm doing more IM the income keeps rising.

So I went looking for homes with acreage and found deals as good as homes on good acreage on up to 400 acres for less than $100k. In many instances we're talking a house on 50 acres for $50k and less on down to $16k.

With that kind of savings with a 30 year mortgage you can spend more on snacks than your mortgage. Many of these rural places now have high speed internet access so that's no problem. Sure you have to do your due diligence when buying any real estate but there are so many people who've had to move out of the rural areas they're leaving vast tracks of land up to pennies on the dollar.

For me it's a great deal because I can build a recording or art studio in a week or so. Just sit back and paint, write, draw, record ( voice over work ) and more. I've even got friends in the business who are always looking for a place to get away to.

What also surprised me was how low the taxes are on these homes. Some just $600 a year and that's with 50 acres! Back home I would be paying $12k or more annually for a house on 1/4 an acre!

So things for us at home workers is looking up. Heck if you're single and you only make $25k a year and need to get away and build your IM biz you should look into this. If you're a senior, retired, and make some money via IM you can make out like a bandit.
