I think that is why the two companies may have hired them to create videos for them.

The second video (even funnier than the first) for Elliot Lester is to promote the Karma Kollective a successful commercial video production company producing tv ads and music videos.

The second is for a recording artist's new media site.

Thanks a lot Josh...that's 6 minutes of my time I'll never be able to get back.

I could have made love to my wife 3 times in the time it took me to watch those videos. Luckily for her we're not due to engage in that type of activity until after the New Year so no harm no foul.

Now, if I can just get those images out of my brain before that time arrives I might even be able to perform up to my usual standards.

I'm not bragging, I'm just saying...

Definitely.

Think about this though...

Out of the most popular videos about video marketing the first one ranks among the most viewed of all time and it scored them a few jobs as well.

A word of warning though... if you are going to be this bad you had better be bad enough to be the worst to bring you success.

Josh, I think I'll pass on that particular approach to video marketing. Don't hate them for finding a stichk that works for them, though.

Do you have any recommendations of people that produce videos at reasonable cost, using your tools?

Your tools are fabulous, but I have no time or desire to become a technogeek.
In the end, I think i'd end up looking like the couple here....or probably worse!

Funny stuff...sometimes BAD advertising gets you more attention than professional, sleek advertising. The difficulty is going just far enough without going too far.

The Quizno's ad is an example of a company trying to do that and not exactly having success. Other smaller more regional businesses have done better.

Being from Cleveland originally, I'm a fan of the Norton Furniture ads with Marc the deep-voiced white-haired guy with a ponytail whose acting skills rival Sharon's in the videos Josh posted.

If you've ever been in the Cleveland area and had your TV on after 11 pm, you've seen a Norton Furniture ad. Now after people started posting his commercials online, he started his own YouTube channel.

YouTube - Norton Furniture Frog on the Couch...

Or if you live up in the Seattle area, you know about the Vern Fonk commercials for car insurance....good stuff.

Growing up in Poulsbo Washington "Cal Worthington and his dog spot" immediately popped into my head without even watching the video.

It's hard to believe that it has been two decades since I have even heard the name Cal Worthington and yet that phrase popped instantly into my head the minute I read that.

Now that's branding...

In fact as I am writing this I have not yet watched the video but I know that there will likely be a song that has a line in it:

"If you need a better car go see Cal"

Now... what is funny though is that as a child I may have been a little audio dyslexic as I often heard this line instead:

"if you need a better car pussy cow"
