Hey All,
Was wondering how I can make the most out of a YouTube Channel I am planning on building up. What are some methods I can do to make money from it?

I know you were joking, but you can ALMOST buy this service on Fiverr to use on YouTube. I have seen girls and guys doing all kinds of bizarre things for only $5 which then get taken and published with the hopes of promoting a website, or pushing traffic to a CPA offer.

I have no idea if they are having success with the theory or not.

As a more sensible idea, take a look at some of the really good YouTube Channels with high numbers of Subscribers. You can drill down by categories looking at the channels with the most subscribers and then look at their channels.

SUBSCRIBE TO THE ONES YOU FIND MOST INTERESTING, and which appear to have a monetization idea behind them. You will learn some great ideas by doing this. You will see how frequently they post, the type of content they provide, and identify why it is working for them.

      Start here:

      YouTube - Channels

Then check out these few channels as a starting point to get ideas:

      YouTube - hotforwords's Channel

      YouTube - MakeupByTiffanyD's Channel

      YouTube - KingHuman's Channel

      YouTube - realannoyingorange's Channel

      Most important - HAVE FUN!

  • Why not start by adding your channel to your warrior forum profile and then customise it as follows:

    1. Log into your YouTube account. Click the yellow "Edit Channel" button.

    2. Set up your channel information - website URL, profile picture (88x88) and description.

    3. Within Channel Design scroll down to Advanced Design Customization. Set background, link and border colors. If #ffffff means nothing to you, click on the blue pick link to choose your colors. You can hide features like the video log by unchecking the box.

    4. Now the fun part - just under the Advanced Design Customization heading, YouTube allows you to BROWSE to your background image. Just save out one of the free YouTube backgrounds below into a folder on your system, then click browse and locate the file.

    5. Click update channel.

Choose the right niche would be a start, and decide your goal.

If it's adsense you'll need a tonne of repeated (not one viral video) traffic and you'll need to eventually partner and make guest appearances on other top channels which will take ages. So you need to fit the niche of these popular channels.

The same need for high viewcount required for getting paid to promote stuff or sponsorship eg the top make up tutors on youtube get thousands of $ to mention products and are under contracts.

Better to think how you can drive traffic to physical products to sell as an affiliate
eg videos about toys are popular so you could set up landing pages for some high ticket items eg go karts

or have an info product which is what I have done and have videos pointing to it.

This is a bit of a tough questions. There are a lot of factors that go into this.

Do you want to become a YouTube Partner?

Do you want to promote your own Products?

Do you want to be an affiliate?

Those are the 3 basic ways to make money with YouTube. There are lots of ways earn money with any of those three, but they are the basic fundamentals.

Need a little more detail to really help you.

    Solid advice on this thread.

The top channels in terms of subscriptions seem to inject mega personality into the videos. The high energy vibe seems to do very well.

Also aim to add production value. Instead of uploading videos concentrate on creating movies. Become familiar with video editing software.

I have over 650 videos but kept a low key vibe for most of them. Even though I provided strong value I put little energy behind the vids. Lesson learned. I might not be off the wall but I generate enthusiasm these days before turning on the FlipCam.
