New project FLV Or MP4 smallest filesize?

I just started creating videos for a project and I'm testing MPEG-4 format
I did a 12 minute powerpoint video and the total file size is 16mb WOW.

Now Is that good good and is FLV better to go with?

      Just checking older FLV files one is about 4 minutes long and it is 10mb,
      which is weird...
