Here We Go Again - Please Critique My Sales Page!

Ok folks I've finally completed the overhaul of my sales page, now I just need some suggestions/tips etc from yourselves. I get 50-100 visitors per day to the page, but it hasn't been converting too well. Just 1-2 sales per week at the moment.

I've completely re-done the graphics (by myself - I'm quite pleased with my work actually!) and done a bit of re-wording here and there. They layout has also changed.

Does it look okay?
Are there any tricks & techniques I'm not using that I should be?

Note: I'm not currently buidling a list from this page, but I will add that later.

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. The site is Use my simple no-bull method to vastly improve your guitar sound! Boss Marshall Mesa Boogie Orange Vox Digitech Zoom Line 6 Laney Fender Boss GT-6 Boss GT-8 GT6 GT8

    Dave,
I think it looks really good overall. I would get an opt-in box up as soon as possible. My only complaint is that the print is awfully small, but it could be that my eyes are just getting old

I agree that the print is a little too small. Also, why are you using an 'n' for bullet points underneath "So What's the Deal?"

Other than that, I think it looks great!

I agree with Barry also..the print is small.

You might want to think about using darker text on a lighter colored background also as well as testing the price.

For some $7 is a good deal but for musicians who are very picky about their work might not view a $7 product as able to deliver what they need.

Not sure what's going on with the "n" bullet points - thanks for pointing it out, I'll take a look!

The black background and white text is not working try it with a white background and black text. There is no attention grabbing header

My two cents: Nice looking layout and nicely done graphics. I'd suggest taking the white text under the flags through a sifter. Get rid of all the stuff about yourself, all the ancillary references, and just get right on to the meat and potatoes of it.

Personally I'd use this as a freebie to get them on your list.

The $7 you are going for is chump change, and you would do FAR better on the back-end by positioning yourself as a "Guitar Guru" and building a nice list, IMHO.

I'd much rather sell them a Boogie Amp...Custom Guitar...Effects Rack...etc. for a fat affiliate commish later after they see me as a trusted advisor.

To that end, I would convert this entire site to a sophisticated squeeze page, and work hard on the copy and layout. Your header and graphics are GREAT, but the deck and body is hard to stay focused on and your subheads are all over the place.

Great start, though...Good on ya for taking action!!

Test it with black text on white background. My guess
is a lot of your visitors don't go to the trouble of reading
all that reversed type. In print advertising reverse type is
    a response-killing demon.

Stop trying to impress with your graphic design skills,
which are pretty good, BTW, and focus on getting your
whole message read. That means losing the cool look
    unfortunately.

Friendliest color combination blue-yellow (most preferred
by customers) - red/black doesn't even make the top
    10 list.

Your page title is rambling. Maybe you are depending on
SEO traffic - but the first part doesn't really say much.

There are scads of improvements and tweaks that could be
made but, as a guitarist myself, the thing that stands out
is you've just made an outlandish claim "1000 times better"
which turns on my B.S. meter big-time.

Moreover you don't say what guitar players your modifications
can help me sound like. You need to get specific.

ie. "Capture the warm full tones of Brian May one minute and
get the searing leads of XXX the next. You'll effortlessly flow
from fat, modern heavy rhythmic crunch to clean angelic
lead solos with ease - and your sound will cut through the
mix like a knife through hot butter" (awfully cliche there at the
end but it came to mind).

Thanks everyone for your absolutely fantastic and helpful tips.

I've now changed the colours to black text on white background.

Next I'm going to re-work the text so it gets down to business more quickly.

To Glenn - I see what you're saying about turning it into a squeeze page, and I may well do this if I can put together a good autoresponder series.

    Thanks everybody.

A lot better and easier on the eyes. A picture paints a thousands words so why not show just how good this is by having a video clip of a before you use this and after you use this. don't show the how it is done just the before and after.

Then host it on youtube and stream it to your site. This way you can also get traffic from youtube. If people can hear how good it is going to make them sound well lets say the rest is history...
