What would you consider the most valuable information you could use right now?

I'm working on a report that I hope will be of great value to my fellow warriors. But I need you to tell me if I'm on the right track.

Imagine that you just finished reading the most valuable report on Internet marketing you ever bought. What's it about? How detailed is it? Does it make your work easier? Does it save you time? Does it show you how to increase your revenue or reduce your costs? Does it help your mindset? Does it show you a missing piece of your puzzle that you will believe will change everything for you? How does it help you?

Is it on:
- Affiliate marketing?
- Product creation?
- Traffic generation?
- Niche selection?
- PPC/PPV?
- CPA?
- The big red "Easy" button?
- Business management tips?
- All of the above?
- Something else entirely?

Help me help you. What info do you need? Where do you need help to make 2011 the best year ever?

Advance copies for all anyone who contribute here.

Thank you.

What is really fascinating because it's never been hotter is offline marketing.

Businesses have really made the shift and accepted offline marketers into their world....That is, the ones that deliver value to them and not just spam them as many of them are still doing!

It's not everyone's cup of tea....But right now, it is a VERY HOT cup of tea!

None of the answers to these questions will help you create a better report, nor make any report you write sell better.

So you don't actually want to know if you're on the "right track" - you want the crowd to provide you with a track, period. If you want to know what people will buy, asking them is never the best way to find out.

The biggest problem the majority of the people here face is that they don't know what they don't know. Asking them won't give you anything that will help them, because they don't know. If you want to teach them, you need to take them past where they are. They can't describe the territory outside of that. And for you to be able to, you need to have walked that territory yourself.

It's really hard to do this in an unbiased enough way to remain valuable, while also still trying to make money off of it. I agree it would be useful, but not profitable to create.

Wow, you really analyzed every sentence. Like your style. I have to agree with you about my suggestion #2 - I don't think it would be profitable, unless you create a new product for a category, and use this report more as a pre-sell to highlight benefits of your product.

And though my sig is true, I was being serious in what I said before. If you're probing for subject matter, there are flaws in the method, and even in the post itself. You're obviously smart if you're realizing that you can make more if you serve the needs of the customer. But I can tell you're inexperienced in marketing because you still think that they can tell you. It's not meant to be a dig, I'm just sharing with you what I know. Since you're obviously smart, I think it might actually help you.

First, like I said, people don't know what they don't know. That makes it hard to get real info from them about what will actually help them succeed. They may give some clues on what they might buy in the short term, but if you want to become a guru type leader in your niche, you have to lead. The sheep go where the shepherd steers them. That's a really valuable lesson.

The second flaw in your method is that if you ARE going to probe people in this way, you've left it way too open. It would work better as a single either/or question so that it's much easier to answer. The people who don't want to think deeply yet still contribute are the idea folks to sell this kind of report to.

Don't get me wrong, it can be insanely profitable, but it just would be biased because you'd be making money as an affiliate, and once you're being compensated for sales, your credibility as a reviewer counts for zero.

Now one way you could approach it is to create a series of reports or reviews that focus on the FLAWS of all the free products in the market, then provide only links without reviews of the commercially available products. People will then be unhappy with the free products and be pre-sold on the commercial ones without you having to create tilted reviews at all. Of course, it's psychologically manipulative, but then again, what isn't?

Because of the business I am in, I have different viewpoint. I would also cover top notch companies that not only provide these services, but also teach customers how to empower themselves when it comes to the many layers of internet marketing.

My company has dealt with many customers, both individuals and those involved with small and medium sized businesses, and it is not uncommon for them to be confused, even overwhelmed, when it comes to the the numerous aspects of internet marketing and/or building a successful business.

Thank you for posting this idea. Best wishes to you.

You know, it's kind of traffic generation, but not really.

There are two big ways people here get traffic.

PPC, or boatloads of social bookmarks!

It seems to me that there should be some way in the middle that is neither expensive and scary nor labour-intensive and boring. I appreciate that it probably doesn't drive traffic as well, but honestly, it seems like all the things I see explained here are extreme.

Can't someone do a product that isn't about spending $50 to make $60 or spending nothing at all to make $10? Could we have something more like, I don't know, spending $20 to make $30? Something reliable and reasonable that doesn't need you to constantly pour your entire bank account into it OR work fifteen hours a day?

It just seems like that's really lacking here. It's all "massive barrier to entry" stuff, whether the barrier is money or time.

I'd say a comprehensive method/plan that starts with effective free traffic generation techniques that aren't backbreaking, tedious or take 12 hours a day to do, and proceeds with how to scale this up via outsourcing, and then culminates in using the profits generated to break into large scale paid traffic such as PPV and media buys - in other words, a comprehensive, step by step traffic plan that takes someone starting with barely any money all the way up to the upper echelons of paid traffic generation.
